Zappit Blackjack

Zappit Blackjack Review

Invented by the legendary Geoff Hall and later sold to SG Digital, the Zappit Blackjack game is a fun and wild take on the popular table game. It follows two basic blackjack rules, with the exception that you can now swap your initial cards if they’re a hard 15 to 18.

The game plays as normal blackjack. For those of you who are not familiar with blackjack, your goal in this game is to get to 21 before the dealer without busting before it. In standard blackjack, you can’t swap (exchange) your two cards no matter what you get. Play the Zappit Blackjack game online for real money, though, and you can swap those two cards in case of a hard 15-18 and get two new ones.

It’s blackjack with a modern twist that adds an extra layer of fun to an already great game. There’s one additional rule that goes in your favor. If you go bust or don’t get a Blackjack and the dealer busts at 22, the hand’s bet is a push.

Read our Zappit Blackjack review to continue to see why you should give this fun variant a try.

Gorgeous Graphics Set the Tone

We’re already used to seeing great graphics in SG’s games, and the Zappit Blackjack online game isn’t any different. Created in collaboration with Red7, the table is a perfect visual recreation of what a classic blackjack table in a casino would look like. The shuffling machine is in the top left, and you can select your desired chips from the bottom.

Don’t be confused about the three spots on the table. You can play up to three hands at once. Put your chips on one or more and get ready to play. As mentioned, the Zappit Blackjack game will allow you to switch your cards on any hand if you get a hard 15-18. You have the option to double, hit or stand on each, choose what you want and then it’s the dealer’s turn.

In the end, the game will compare the hands and pay out winnings.

Suitable for New Players and Blackjack Vets

Sit at the table and you’ll be able to select chips worth between 0.10 and 50 coins. That’s a nice range for all types of players. If you’re new to the world of blackjack, we would suggest going with the smaller values. If you’re a seasoned high roller, the black 50s should suffice should you decide to play for real money.

Playing the Zappit Blackjack game is easy. Once you’ve set your desired bets and number of hands, you click on Deal and the game begins. If you’ve ever played blackjack before, you’ll know what to do. The only difference is that you’ll get a chance to switch your two initial cards if you get a hard 15-18.

As soon as the cards are dealt, you’ll be able to choose another card if you want, and to Stand or Double or Split the cards. Insurance will be offered if the house’s face-up card is an Ace. This pays 2:1. The game will compare the hands in clockwise order after you’ve made a decision on each. Keep in mind that the house will draw on 16 and must hit on soft 17. As mentioned, it’s a push on 22.

Win Solid Payouts, but No Bonuses

The Zappit Blackjack online game offers pretty solid payouts. Blackjack pays 3:2 while insurance is 2:1. A player win pays 1:1 while a draw, per the usual, ends in a push. A pushed bet comes back to you with no additional winnings. The insurance bet  might earn you a bit of extra cash, but whether you take it depends on you alone.

There’s no bonus game in Zappit Blackjack that can boost your winnings. This will be disappointing news for bonus hunters who are looking for ways to raise their winnings. For those that love classic blackjack action with another kind of twist, though, the Zappit Blackjack online game will be more than enough.

More Zappit Action

Blackjack comes in many shapes and forms, and we’ve got most of them for your convenience. Although Zappit Blackjack is a one-of-a-kind experience, there are other exotic variants that certainly deserve a try.

Blackjack Switch, for example, allows you to switch a bad card and make your hand more playable. It’s a fun and exciting take on classic blackjack that could lead to great wins.

If you want blazing-fast gameplay, look no further than American Blackjack Turbo. It allows you to play multiple hands at once at a much faster pace than the usual. It’s something entirely different when it comes to online blackjack variants.

Zap Those Cards to Win

Zappit Blackjack is a classic example of how tiny tweaks to the rules can boost the excitement of a blackjack game. The chance to zap your two initial cards for something better is great and one of the reasons why we love this variant so much.
