Heroes' Realm Slots
Epic is the best way to describe this brilliant 3-reel slot. From the moment you see the intro, in which a sexy and slender green-eyed heroine and her bearded beast of a heroic partner are slaying sword-wielding skeletons in an attempt to kill the mighty monster in the middle of them, you know this is one adventure you just need to be part of – and it doesn't disappoint!
The Armoury
Think of the main game as the armoury in which you can pick-up all the weapons you might need to arm our heroes in their battle against the monster and his skeleton army. You can find these weapons, and the prizes awarded for finding them, for lining-up 3 matching symbols on the game's one and only pay-line.
You can arm our heroes with diabolical looking maces that should shatter skeleton bones with ease at up to 15x your line-bet, whilst shields at up to 90x, and swords at up 120x can always be put to good use. Or why not try and bludgeon those bony fiends at up to 225x your line-bet, or upgrade to axes which should scythe their way through monster flesh and are worth up to 2,250x your line-bet.
There are also other items to find including mead flasks at up to 15x your line-bet, or why not try a combination of mead flask, sword and shield at up to 24x. 3 Treasure Chests can also reveal some decent loot at up to 300x your line-bet, whilst smaller prizes for 1 or 2 Treasure Chests will keep you on the path to helping our heroes defeat the evil forces.
Red Eye's Revenge
The red-eyed skulls of three of our heroes’ former colleagues hold the key to unlocking the Bonus Round, and hitting all 3 skulls on the pay-line will give the heroes the chance to wipe out the monster and his army. You must first pick which of our two heroes you want to put into battle, then maneuver them around the landscape as you try and defeat opponents by clicking on targets. Defeat enough opponents and your chosen hero will face the ultimate challenge of destroying the monster and earning you the top bonus.
The game also has a Free Games Bonus which is triggered by the appearance of two or three lots of crossed daggers. Two lots of daggers trigger 10 free games, whilst 3 lots of daggers trigger an unexpected, and pleasantly surprising, 50 free games.
The graphics are a treat too, as our two heroes wait menacingly at the back of the transparent reels for you to arm them, which you can start doing by picking your preferred spin-stake. Choose to play 1, 2 or 3 coins, and then stake each coin with a coin-value from 0.01 to 10. The choice is yours.
There are plenty of 3-reel slots from Rival Gaming, and I’m a big admirer of their imagination and determination as they continue to incorporate impressive themes and a decent variety of playability in all of them. However, they’ve took the idea of a 3-reel slot to a whole new level with Heroes’ Realm – so I will forgive them the lack of things like a gamble button and just let the epic adventure begin!
