Jungle Jump

Jungle Jump Slot

It’s a jungle out there, as this bright and colourful slot machine from Jackpot Joy goes to show, themed on the untamed world of tropical forests. And their inhabitants.

Parting the foliage and stepping into the undergrowth, although this may look like it’s for kids, appearances can be deceiving. We have 25 paylines, meaning there are multiple winning combinations that can result in some significant payouts if you play your cards, or rather spins, right.

There are also wild and scatter symbols involved, adding yet more opportunities to win and throwing a little more chance into the game.

The Whole Place Is Teeming with Life

Jungle Jump is a particularly friendly looking game. Although there are no copyright infringements here, you can see there are homages to classic Disney-style characters in the drawings. Although very basic, the largely static 2D cartoons reflect the diversity of what you might find in a tropical rainforest.

From brightly coloured flowers and green frogs, to small mammals like raccoons and foxes, exotic butterflies and, of course, monkeys, there is a wealth of wildlife represented. Of course graphics may have come on leaps and bounds since the era when we may have praised the quality of the drawings, but what’s here is unmistakably appealing to the eye- particularly people with a penchant for cute and cuddly characters. It looks more modern than many of its competitors.

This also means players will be less distracted by the details and, hopefully, more focussed on their game plan. And, given the hidden complexity at work here thanks to the sheer number of paylines available, that’s probably (definitely) a good thing.

Survival of the Fittest

The jungle is an unforgiving place, we all know that. Put a foot wrong and you could wind up in all kinds of dangerous predicaments. Jungle Jump follows this rule to the letter.

Before beginning to play properly you’ll need to decide how much you want to bet. Coin sizes range from 1p up to a not-so-nominal £8, a lot higher than many machines, and this decision impacts on how much you bet on each individual line you choose to play. Payouts are based on multiples of the coin size, too, so the more we’re willing to put down the more we can potentially pick up. But remember, whilst more lines means more opportunities to win, the payout will not automatically increase- in fact, you could see more of your money being eaten up by the greedy critters in the game.

Frogs and Flowers and Monkeys, Oh My

There are nine ‘standard’ icons used in Jungle Jump, and these fall into three easy-to-define groups.

First up we have the most common, flora. OK, so that sounds a little too much like a botanical essay, so let’s just say flowers. We have petals in pink, blue, yellow and green, all of which are the lowest value in the game.

Notably rarer are the smaller creatures- namely a blue beetle and green frog. As you would expect, these correspond to higher value prizes, as they do in the real world when you’re backpacking through Costa Rica and desperately trying to see something other than yet another army of ants.

Finally, we have the larger animals. Foxes, raccoons and- most prized of all- monkeys. These are the big payers, and are what any intrepid explorer should be hedging their bets on discovering. You only need to match two of these symbols to win, as oppose to three or more of the others.

Into the Wild

It’s not just standard icons you are on the hunt for here, either. In addition to those listed above, Jungle Jump also comes with a wild card- a toucan egg, which, when featured on a winning line, will hatch to reveal a brightly coloured young bird, which then flies away into its newfound freedom. Ah, isn’t that nice?

The main aim of the game is to catch a beautiful butterfly, which act as scatter icons. Once this is bagged you can count your cash and claim your win.

Conclusion

Jackpot Joy’s Jungle Jump has fun written all over it. The characters, colours and short animations make this abundantly clear from the first spin. Plus, there’s a game within a game here too- by scoring four Raining Reel wins in a row you’ll enter a fun click-actioned challenge where you need to stop a snake from choking on coins- give him the Heimlich and he’ll spit out treasure, which is added to your wallet. This, coupled with how many paylines are potentially in play, should mean the adventure keeps people entertained for longer than the average gambler would.
