Rising Sun 3 Line Online Slot Machine Review

With so many high tech slots around, the days when all games were 3 reels and electro-mechanical seems like a different age. Rising Sun is a great example of how a little care and attention to design, and some solid game-play can make these games enjoyable. This slot is Japanese themed, and does have a wild symbol and 5 lines to add a little interest.

The graphics are superb; you will see that a lot of care has gone into recreating the mechanical origins of the game. Everything from the lights coming off of the reels to the curve as they meet the edges is well thought through. Symbols are mostly Japanese characters; we will have to assume these are real, though I have no way of telling what they say. There is the waving cat (a luck symbol) and a girl half hidden by a fan, which is the wild symbol for this slot.

Sounds are mechanical too, and again are very true to life. Saucify have recreated the feeling of playing this game at a casino, with the babbling of people in the background. This is not too distracting during play, though the winning combinations noises are less relaxing than on many slots I have played.

There are no bonus features as such, though the girl with the fan is wild and will increase the wins of any line she is included in. This symbol also has the biggest prizes, which depend on exactly which line she lands on.

Setup and Play for the Rising Sun 3 Reel Slot

The 5 win lines are fixed for this game, so you will choose only your coin denomination and the amount of coins to play. On the version I played, you can bet from 5c, though to $5 per spin- though I am sure that many casinos will allow you to go higher than this.

Of the regular symbols, the waving cat is has the best prize. This is worth 160 coins for 3 on a line. Next comes the dragon symbol (looks like one of the Japanize characters) which is worth 80 coins. The characters (words) themselves are worth 40 and 10, with any combination of then on a win-line giving you 5 credits.

The fan girl is the key symbol in this game – and acts as a wild. If one girl helps to complete a winning combination, that prize is doubled. With two girls and 1 other symbol, the win is 4x the listed amount.

In addition, 3 girls on win line pays a much bigger prize. The highest payment is for line 5 where 3 girls gets you 2400 credits. Line 4 is worth 1600, line 3 is worth 1400, two 1200 and line one (the straight line across the middle) is worth 1000 coins.

Rising Sun 3 Lines – Conclusion

As 3 line slots go, this is a great game. It will appeal to those who would rather enjoy the pure form of slots play, without the multiple distractions built into today’s video slots. There are two positives in this game for me. First the care and attention that has gone into recreating a slot which feels like a live (mechanical) game. Second the wild symbol potentially quadrupling wins and giving you the chance to win up to 2400 credits in one go too. Take a look through our casino reviews to find some of the best places to play.
