Good & Evil

Good & Evil Slot Machine

The eternal battle between Good & Evil is raging, and with it the two forces that drive the universe clash endlessly.

Now that would be a perfect introduction for the latest Hollywood blockbuster, but we are here to discuss and review Good & Evil, a video slot game designed by SkillOnNet that takes an interesting approach to this mythical theme. Indeed, forget about grandiose settings and fearless heroes, Good & Evil brings humour and fun to the table – together with sizeable rewards and several extra features.

If you are dying to know more about this one-of-a-kind game, stick around and let us take you through a full review of Good & Evil…

Between the Light and the Shadows

Good & Evil is inspired by the two forces that drive humans in every occasion, what makes us hesitate before taking any decision.

It is not exactly a light theme to choose, by the developers at SkillOnNet decided that a little humour would help play down the tension. As such, the whole design of the game has a distinctive cartoon feel, with a background split into a bright blue and surreal sky and a red, barren ground. An almost divine light seems to be lighting the horizon, while dead trees and ominous crows are all there is to see near ground level.

So despite this rather dark premise, Good & Evil plays with the dichotomy between those two forces and manages to create a simple universe, much less dramatic that one could have expected in the first place.

The Rules of Engagement

Before setting off to this epic battle, it is best to review the rules in full in order to make sure that you are fully prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.

Good & Evil is a game played on five slots and ten paylines maximum. The set is rather small, but it makes the commands all the easier to master. Simply click on the appropriate (+) and (-) buttons located at the bottom of the game screen to adjust your settings, i.e. the coin value and the number of paylines you wish to activate. The Bet Max shortcut is also there to let you go all-in and validate your wager with a single click of your mouse. Once you feel ready to dive into the battle, just click the blue Spin button and watch the reels spin as you hope for many wins! A winning combination basically consists of several identical symbols in alignment on an activated payline across the reels. Each combination triggers a cash prize, which is added to your credit balance.

Lastly, try the Auto Roll button to set up a predetermined number of automatic spins on which to bet with a constant wager. By letting the computer take the wheel for a moment, you can take a step back from the hostilities and watch the action from a distance.

Meet the Two Sides

The paytable of Good & Evil is mostly inspired by its epic theme, but not entirely.

Indeed, of the eight basic symbols the first five are classic card icons: the Number 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace. Following them are the Evil and Good Logos, and finally the yellow Jackpot symbol. A combination of five of the latter on an activated payline is the only key to the game’s progressive jackpot, whose impressive amount is on permanent display right at the top of the reels.

That is all for the initial menu, but a few more surprises in Good and Devil still deserve our attention.

Special Symbols and Bonuses

The half-angel half-demon character is the Wild card of the game, meaning that it can substitute any of the basic symbols mentioned above and help create extra winning combinations across the reels.

You will also find two Bonus symbols, one with a Demon and the other with an Angel. Combinations of these symbols will trigger an associated Bonus round, each of them bringing special features to the table.

For instance, all paylines have their payout multiplied by two in Good Bonus mode, unless they contain Evil icons. And on the other hand, all payouts are multiplied by three in Evil Bonus mode. Check out the game rules before venturing on the battlefield to make sure you are up to date with all the subtleties of the game!

An Epic Battle, with Some Humour on Top

Good & Evil takes a very serious theme and gives it a fun twist. You will love the progressive jackpot, only a winning combination away from being yours! The two Bonus modes are also interesting, though perhaps a little simplistic. Regardless, Good & Evil is worth a try if you feel like an easy and fun video slot game.
