Red Panda Paradise

Red Panda Paradise Slots

As you’ll have come to appreciate for yourselves, Genesis Gaming like to supply their players with as much variance as possible, both in gameplay and looks. However, sometimes they come down on the side of one theme more than another, like with animal based titles. During our time playing the brand, we’ve come across Galapagos Islands, Hear Me Roar and now Red Panda Paradise.

All three of these 5-reel slots have a similar aesthetic going on, but this particular game seems to have a more photorealistic quality about it than its sister counterparts. Here you have an animated image of the animals, but all their features are in proportion to their bodies; they look how they would in real life. But when you play Hear Me Roar, they have a big eyed look about them that defines how false they are.

Food on the Vine

When we review, we tend to go for the main goods first and then work our way backwards, but sometimes this means that we overlook some of the smaller features, like the scatter. In this real cash slot, it’s a succulent green bamboo shoot, just crying out to be eaten by the animals inside this 5-reels kingdom.

Instead of providing gamers will free spins, which a lot of games tend to do with their scatter symbol, this icon actually pays scattered payouts. If you bag yourself three, four or five of these tiles, you’ll be looking at between 50 and 650 credits per combination, which is a nice tidy sum. We grant you that this isn’t exactly the most earth shattering experience you could have, but it goes towards keeping that account of yours filled up.

Red Is the Colour of the Panda

As this is Red Panda Paradise, it makes sense that you have the Red Panda Paradise Free Spins. Even though it’s not a friendly sentence to say, you’ll soon not care once you look at what you can win. Not only will you be granted 5 games to play for free, but you’ll also witness a conversion of sorts, like you may have seen in Pillaging Pirates.

Not all of the symbols on the paytable can do this, only the frog, monkey and condor can, but when they do they’re replaced by the red panda of the game. This panda gifts 750 each time it appears in a five of a kind grouping in the base game. Although you’re not guaranteed to get this amount, you’re sure to stand a better chance of higher returns when these creatures appear.

When Cute Becomes Deadly

One of the biggest issues you have with a compact slot machine like Red Panda Paradise, is that you’ll become bored very quickly. Not only is there little to occupy your mind visually speaking, but you also have a lack of variance within the paytable; the 243 ways to play only helps so much. The thing is, with so many other titles offering much of the same, how do we sort through the good and the bad?

Take Terminator 2 from Microgaming as an example of the good, this is a much more adult themed and deadly slot, and yet it offers a lot of the same as this title. That’s useful for two reasons: convenience, and adaptability. Some gamers dislike playing similar titles, but for those that prefer interacting with familiarity, it’s better to align yourself with slots of the same size and/or feature length.

To Infinity

It’s not often we comment about autoplays, as a lot of other casino titles offer this feature as a standard, but a lot of the time they don’t offer such an in-depth hands free option. In Red Panda Paradise you can play this option indefinitely, meaning that you never need to tap that mouse again. Assuming you have the funds to do that, and that does include when you play the demo as well; demo or not, you still have a credit limit.

We like that this game allows you to sit back and chill out without having to do a thing – it’s the ideal form of recreation after a long day at work. Better still, the autospins is easy to switch off, allowing you to flip from one mode to the other without any hassle. Plenty of Genesis activities have this feature, so make sure to take advantage of it if you have a thing for casual gaming.

Paradise or Not?

Red Panda Paradise claims to be a haven, an oasis of animals if you will, but what you get is a lot less enticing and more mundane. The brand has tried to inject some life into this slot machine, but it feels way too much like their other animal themed activities. This in turn can lead to dissatisfaction when you start to experience all the same features as you have before, and so we suggest you only play this title if you have a particular craving for it.
