Wild West Scratch Card

Nerves of steel and a bank balance that can keep on giving is what you’ll need when taking on Wild West, a scratch card game that has you ripping down posters to obtain your reward.

It’s becoming a popular trend of developers to combine the positives of both scratch cards and slots, turning out a game that is quick and simple, yet has the potential to instil fresh excitement whenever you play. What we love most about this particular title is that it hasn’t sacrificed the theme in order to bring you speedy entertainment, meaning you get to always have your hand on your holster.

Finding bad guys has never looked as fun or as simple as Wild West makes it, with a grid that consists of 3 reels and 9 squares. It’s unlikely you’ll need our help with the how-tos, but should you get stuck or just need some reassurance, we’re also staying in the town until the bandit situation has been put to rest once and for all.

Itchy Trigger Fingers

Judging by the look on the face of the cowboy that keeps on giving you the dead eyed stare, it’s not just us that keeps hovering about, trying to figure out whether to fire or not. The reason for all this uncertainty is that you don’t know whether you’re going to make a win or not – unlike conventional scratch card, this game is about instant wins. When you don’t get any it ends and you start again.

The aim of the game is incredibly simple, so much so that the family dog could probably play (not that they’d win); all users need to do is match three of the tiles that lurk underneath each of the posters. It’s very easy in theory but put it into practice and it becomes mighty tricky, mainly because the odds make it like a game of Battleships, only here the tiles can think for themselves.

There is a paytable on hand to help explain what you can expect to win for the number of matches and so on, but it doesn’t help that much, nor is it necessary for the game. That’s because nothing looks different and the values are all out there in the open, making the need of a paytable obsolete.

Come into My Town

This town is like a ghost town right now – everyone is either hiding away or has left for good in the hopes of finding a better life elsewhere. Everyone except for who we assume is the sheriff of these parts. He’s determined to stay until the bitter end, taking every job that comes his way, no matter the low payout.

No matter how hard he tries though, more of the posters go up everyday, the need for justice a hungry and persistent beast.

Get Those Bandits!

When it comes to actually winning the game, there’s not a lot you can do other than follow the onscreen instructions and pray for a miracle; as it’s an instant win game, the volatility is very high.

The first thing every player needs to do before they buy a ticket to the gun show, is to set their bet amount, or as we like to think of it, choosing the cost of your ticket. Going higher in the betting department doesn’t make the game easier, nor does it make the wins more common, and so it makes more sense to go with the min bet and stay there. If you feel like going against the grain, you can tot that total up to a 10-credit bet. After that, you buy the ticket and away you go.

There are two ways of tackling the grid: you can individually scratch every one of the posters or you can do them all at once. The latter option is the quickest and least suspenseful, and is probably what you’ll select when you’ve played a couple of rounds, but for your first try it’s good fun to do it yourself. Gunshots will tear up the wanted posters to reveal the totals underneath; when you get a match those squares turn yellow.

You Can Keep Your Money

Seriously, this title from PlayPearls isn’t one we’d bother with again. It just has nothing to it. Instant win activities can be a lot of fun, but this one doesn’t have anything to it other than click and scratch, which makes working towards the jackpot feel like a waste of time. We wouldn’t recommend this game, but we don’t doubt that somebody out there will love the not so Wild West.
