Robbing the Rich

There’s a graphic novel style to Cops & Robbers, one that evokes memories of Sin City and of the classic comic books of the 1940s onwards. Two speech bubbles sit either side of the board, the one to the left reading “Match 3 to win!” and the one to the right reading “Win up to $10,000”. In the background, a classic New York urban scene can be made out with high rises and laser lights strobing the night sky. A pair of 1920s robbers stand with fedoras, trenchcoats and suits, looking extremely suave but not looking remotely like gentlemen. Real gents don’t shoot tommy guns in an effort to persuade the rich to part with their money.

The colour palette that Pariplay have deployed in this game looks gorgeous, with bright colours that enhance the graphic novel feel and effectively bring Cops & Robbers to life. The developer’s online Cops & Robbers game is one that’s fully mobile-compatible, with a responsive design that makes it work well on a variety of devices. The board comprises a 3x3 grid with grey symbols overlaid on each position depicting a stack of banded money. In a moment you’ll get to reveal whether there are winning symbols concealed beneath, but first you’ll need to click the yellow Buy Ticket button before the fun can begin.

Scratch to Match

Cops & Robbers has been designed to replicate the experience of buying a scratch card from a shop and then scratching off each panel in turn to find out whether you’ve won. Here you won’t literally be using a coin to scratch off the silver concealing each panel, but you’ll be performing the virtual equivalent of doing so. The moment you click to buy your ticket, the cursor will be changed into a gold coin. Then all you have to do is hover over each square and click on it. An animation and accompanying sound effect will simulate scratching away at the panel and a dollar amount beneath will be revealed. It would be as little as $1 or it could be as much as $10,000.

There are two ways to play this online casino game. You can manually scratch off each panel in turn, a method which takes longer but which helps to build up the anticipation, especially once you’ve matched two symbols and are now chasing a third to win. The quicker way is to click on Reveal All which will cut right to the chase. Although this takes the excitement out of playing manually, it’s quicker and is a better option if you’re in a rush to find as much cash as possible in the shortest time possible. Set your bet to between 1 and 10 coins and then get going.

Simple, But Good Fun

Extremely simple but also extremely fun, Cops & Robbers is another great instant win game from Pariplay. There’s not much depth to this game it’s true, and it’s hard to imagine this being a game that gamblers could play for hours. If you’re looking for a quick fix though, perhaps before your next bingo or poker gamer starts, Cops & Robbers is just the ticket. This is a top game whose clean interface and colourful graphics make it a joy to play. It’s a shame the symbols that can be revealed are only dollar values; there was scope for including cops and robbers-themed characters here. That aside, there’s little to fault in this endearing casino game from Pariplay.
