Jukebox 50,000 Slot Machine

Let’s be honest, who of us hasn’t pictured ourselves as a Sandy or Danny from Grease or a Vincent or Mia from Pulp Fiction? And would anyone turn down the jacket from the Fonz? The jukebox is where it’s at. So will this game from SkillonNet leave you spinning in a good or bad way?

Top Layout Marks From the Jukebox Jury

It starts off a little naff with the short screen introduction giving the name in oversized letters, complete with uninspired music that belongs in a forgotten about sitcom. The three discs facing different directions doesn’t work. But the vibe soon changes when you start playing. There’s a funkier sax tune, with other nice and upbeat ones also used. If you’re not feeling it though, it’s easy to change or mute the volume on the game.

But it’s not just the music that will grab your attention. The layout really is striking. No guesses for working out it will be a jukebox themed design, but this earns full marks for its style. It has captured the flair and energy of jukeboxes and why they were so popular. The game’s name is at the top, with colourful style lettering. Its outer ring is red and the inner one is a light purple. Inside these are the 3 reels which whizz about, with the symbol hierarchy below. It’s noticeable without being overbearing.

Behind all this, it’s the extra detail that wins big points. There’s school disco style lighting, with a yellow tinted wall on the left and a more plum coloured wall on the right. This looks a place for the cool kids to hang out.

50,000 Reasons to Play

Not just in price, but also in design, Jukebox 50,000 is far better than its 10,000 relation. It really is a step up, but it still retains the easy to play feel. Deciding what to bet and how many lines is simple. You can play for either 1, 2 or 3 coins, using coins ranging from 0.5 to 1. The most you can stake is 3 coins per line for a maximum bet of 15. You can play any line up to 5. If you’re feeling groovy straight away, you can go straight for the Bet Max button. You can also let it go on Auto roll if you want to give your dancing shoes a rest.

The fun vibe is infectious. Words like Amazing and Great light up at the bottom, and in the thin screen between the reels and the symbol values there’s even a ‘Better Luck Next Time’ message when you lose. There are also light designs too. You can even pull the lever rather than press the button if you prefer.

There is a bonus available that keeps in the nature of the game. You get to choose whether to pick green or red for what colour the spinning disc at the top will come down. If you guess the right colour of green or red, just watch the credits go up. If you’re not feeling it, you can collect what you have and not risk it.

Overall Groove

This game is straightforward to navigate. On the right, just off the jukebox, are labels for Coin Value, Coin, Lines, Total Bet and Winner Paid. On the bottom are clear links to the Lobby, Cashier and other Games, as well as seeing what your overall balance is. The labels don’t seem in the way and the general vibe is spacious. Indeed, the 5 paylines are shown from both sides.

The symbols are nicely designed, with speakers, a classic microphone, headphones and gold records among them. The gold records are what you’ll most be looking for, as that’s where you’ll get the game’s maximum score. It’s quite a drop to the next biggest prize of 2,000 credits if you can only receive 2 gold records. While the box shows how little the prizes are, it also means that you don’t need much to win something. Even 1 speaker or headphone symbol pays out.

It’s a Hit

If you like high stakes, big bonuses and a storyline theme, this game isn’t for you. Others will find plenty to smile about in this game. It’s fun to play, great to look at and fittingly, sounds cool when playing. Worth a spin for sure.
