You’re really off to work here with this game, for your character has to work his socks off to find all that money – we’re talking hours of digging and picking away at stone, often not finding anything. It’s a hard life, but luckily for you guys you’re going to get only the best bits, namely the prizes he manages to find.

Down the mineshaft and deep into the earth is where you’ll see the grid, with walls filled with twinkling gems on either side, all of them crying out to be mined and turned into cash. No wonder Curly (that’s the miner) is so driven about getting the job done – he’s going mad from hearing them calling out to him!

You could say that the whole job is a perk, but we would rather focus on the two most important tiles on that 3x5 grid: the wild and scatter, aka the free spins. These are the only two features you’re going to get when playing Mined Blown, and so you might as well make the most of them.

The sticks of dynamite won’t be ignited until there’s at least three of them, but when they land together they’ll blow all the other symbols bar the free spins sky high, leaving you a clear path to the money. As for Curly, our ol’ mate, well he comes in groupings of three, four or five; when those matches increase so too do his number of spins. The min of three will get you 10, four will give you 20, and five a earth shaking 30 rounds, not to mention they can be retriggered. Add to that the random multiplier slapped on during this time and you’re already potentially made for life.

Focus is key to any slot machine, and that begins with the controls and using them correctly. Most interfaces are simple, but Bede excel at user friendly games and so Mined Blown is one of the easiest to play.

There is an orange and red bet button which you click to start altering the money you play with; the starting point is 0.01 but this can climb up to 5. Across 25 paylines, this will give either a 0.25 or 125 credits stake.

Underneath there is where you’ll spot the paylines widget, again this is a setting you click through until you reach the desired total, one of the many beauties of having non-fixed paylines.

On the right hand side is where the two spin options are, with the autoplay being the quickest way of playing through a game; choose how many rounds you wish to play and then watch as the action gets started. It may be a less involved way of gaming with Bede, but it makes the whole experience much more streamlined.

Overall there isn’t much going wrong for this title; it’s one of Bede Gaming’s less flamboyant designs, but we quite like that. It isn’t their most rewarding title either, but the winnings still enter the thousands, albeit only just.
