Introducing the Golden Animals

The symbols in this game are mostly made up of golden animals. Hitting 3 matching animals awards a payout clearly visible in the pay table, which can be found by clicking the info button at the bottom of the screen. The golden bull’s head is the top-paying icon here, awarding 800x your bet for 5 symbols at once on the reels. This is also the only symbol to award a payout for just 2 matching symbols with 10x your bet available whenever two icons appear together. If you hit the bull’s head stacked on the reels you could win up to €40,000, which is the top jackpot in the game.

The next symbol to look for is the golden eagle, paying 400x your bet for 5 symbols, while the golden tiger, dragon and fish all pay 300x your bet for 5 symbols. The lowest paying golden animal symbol is the golden toad, which pays 150x your bet for 5 symbols.

Apart from the animals there are two more important symbols in this slot machine: the gold coin and the Buddha. The gold coin is wild and can stand in for all the other symbols in the game, except the scatter, to create more potential winning combinations. The scatter is the Buddha symbol, a golden laughing character wearing a red robe and holding out a bowl of gold pieces. Buddha only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 and if you spin 3 of these symbols you will launch the free spins round.

When 3 Buddha symbols appear to trigger the free spins round, you will immediately be awarded 6 free spins. During these free spins all winning payouts attract a 2x multiplier, while there are also additional wilds added to the reels to give even more potential wins. In fact, before every free spin 1 extra wild symbol is placed onto the second, third and fourth reels and these remain for the duration of the round. An Exotic Disappointment

This is an exotic slot machine with a lot of promise thanks to the powerful theme. The wild symbol often crops up to give more payouts and there are plenty of smaller payouts to keep your bankroll ticking over. However, we found the free spins round did not hit often enough to really make a difference to the overall game play and without a gamble feature, we were unable to boost the rewards further.

Lucky Dragons has a great evocative theme with strong music and sound effects, but the lack of bonus game or gamble feature, along with the small number of free spins we received, made our stay in the Orient less lucky than the game’s title would suggest.
