Fun Farm Slot Machine

Apart from the early start, hard work and array of smells, it looks fun to be on a farm. You’re out in the fresh air, you don’t have to travel far to work and best of all, you get to hang out with some of the cutest animals.

Is this PlayPearls Fun Farm game in a field of its own or does it muck about too much?

No Horses but Plenty of Horsing around

It starts with a very quick loading page. While these can often be slick or modern, this introduction lets you know straight away of the more homely, quirky and light-hearted overall theme. There are two cows (one upright), a dog and a farmer, all prominent and expressive. The graphics are rather basic, but as with the merry-sounding flute music that sounds like a barnyard ball, maybe that’s part of its appeal.

After all, the images are certainly a bit wacky. The cow icon has mismatched eyes, the farmer keeps his white suit and super large hat and there’s purple cow dung. There are also the highest number from a pack of cards here too, even going down to the 9. The letters have different colours but keep the rustic feel by being made out of wood and with nails sticking out of each.

While the reels and icons do dominate the screen, the rest of the display keeps to the playful theme. Fun Farm is written in different sized yellow letters at the top and there are big puffy clouds in the background, white daisies on the bottom edges and a grey fence as the border to the game.

Farm Playtime

As suggested by the whole tone of everything, this 5 reel 25 line game isn’t hard to play. While you can’t change the number of lines you can play for, you can decide how much to bet on it. You can keep it at 0.10 for a bet of 2.50, or raise it to 0.2, 0.3. 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0. This means you can bet a maximum of 50.00 credits.

The most valuable symbol is our white suited and very hairy silver fox farmer. With a little pipe too. He’s worth up to 1,000 credits, with the spaced out cow worth a maximum of 600, the same as its dung. The cornfield icon gives up to 500 credits, the exact same as the Ace. The King and Queen are of equal value, as are the Jack and 10, with the 9 bottom of the picture worth. Rather strangely the farm-related pictures and card letters are on separate pages, though it does keep them all at a large size.

The symbols do jump out but otherwise it’s nothing too animated. As made clear in all of the 4 Paytable pages, wins are judged from left to right and only the highest line win is paid out. It’s also useful to know there is an Autoplay button (though no numerical settings), a large screen option and a mute possibility.

Not Eggcellent, but Still Entertaining

The card icons may be a bit mix and match, but the extra symbols are farm-themed for sure. The Free Spin card is a windmill, and has a range varying from 15 to 60 free spins. The Wildcard is a large whole pumpkin and replaces everything except the Free Spin card and the Bonus card. The Bonus card will make you smile. Its design is 3 large white eggs in a little nest. Who’s up for an omelette?

And those eggs will certainly make you smile even more if you get 3 or more of them. If this happens you get to go on a Lucky Egg Choice adventure. There are 3 shelves and on each there are 4 nests filled with 3 eggs.

For all its nice picture and spacious lettering, it doesn’t actually tell you either what to do or what you can win. It works though by having options of 40, 60, 100 and 200. You choose the random egg baskets until you pick 3 of one number. When that happens, you win that amount.

Fool around on the Farm

Its low key, wacky and basic designs and gameplay won’t appeal to everyone. Add a lack of high prizes and a rather muddled Paytable and it might not make the strongest first impression. But the game doesn’t take itself too seriously and the bonus game is one of the more fun ones around.
