Play Golden Reel for Free

Just like a classic fruit machine, you will find nothing but the reels of the game on display. The blackened reels are brought to life with the bold and colourful symbols floating around – these are 3D fruits of; oranges, plums, cherries, lemons, grapes and watermelons. You will also find triple green bar, red 7’s, joker and gold bullion bars.

Paylines are shown via the 40 differently coloured lines to the left and right of the reels and thanks to an easy to navigate control panel, you can adjust your bets with ease. Auto play allows you to sit back and watch the reels spin automatically on your behalf – just click the button and choose how many spins you want it to play out.

The joker won’t be having the last laugh, because should you manage to spin in a slot machine full of jokers – that’s 20 in total, you will trigger the progressive jackpot that corresponds with your stake – the more you spend per spin, the more you can win. The highest paying symbols of this game are the gold bullion bars with a coin value of 8,000 coins and the jokers with a 1,000 coin sum – these are awarded to your bankroll when five of a kind fall into place.

Wilds can transform your base game wins, because these wild joker symbols can replace all symbols (bar scatter) to complete winning combinations, where they may have otherwise have been missed. Scatters are the key to the free spins feature – 3 or more symbols will reward you with 10 free spins.

Gamble comes into play when you land any value base game win – click the button and you’ll be taken to a stairway of golden steps. Every step allows you to potentially double your winnings until you reach the top tier – the 40,000 coin payout. No skill involved, just click the gamble button and watch the golden light jump up or down – time it wrong and you lose the lot.

In all honesty, you won’t find the biggest offering of bonus features with the Golden Reel slot machine, but that’s because it’s been created to appeal to those slots enthusiasts who love nothing more than simple gameplay. Golden Reel has some great big winning potential; you just have to time it right. Before you start, select your stake that suits your bankroll – the good news is that this slot game is a medium variance, so you won’t be spinning too long before the wins fall onto the reels.

The gamble feature should be treated with caution, this is because it’s hard to predict where the light is going to stop as it just flashes on its current step – if you could see it jumping around, you’d be able to guess where it should stop, but it’s the slot machine that decides whether you will win or not. We would recommend not touching the gamble feature, because when we played in demo mode, we only managed to reach the second step before losing. Free spins can be retriggered and can accumulate some great cash prizes, but the big money falls to those who are brave with their stakes – the high rollers.
