    Rise of Anubis Slot Machine

There seems to be something about ancient gods and them not wanting to stay in the afterlife - they’re always clawing their way into our world, sometimes kicking and screaming. This time it’s Anubis who is laying claim to what was once his, with you his new accomplice.

In Rise of Anubis you have 5 reels and 20 paylines to get you closer to the big finale, alongside wilds, super wilds, and free spins. Although you’ll be taking a trip to Egypt to find the gold, there is nothing old school about this slot. It might not be the prettiest you’ll find, but it makes up for its appearance with suspense and features.

Subtlety has been chosen over forceful gaming, which gives a much more refined and focused dynamic to the game; it feels mature and relaxed. Of course there’s the excitement of winning cash, but it never works up into a frenzy, which is probably why Rise of Anubis is growing in popularity.

    Bark Worse Than His Bite

Anubis may have the head of a dog, but he isn’t about to bite the hand that feeds him, which is probably why the pay-in for this online slot is so low; the minimum bet starts at 0.20 credits. A simple Total Bet display allows users to increase or decrease the amount, allowing them to reach more dramatics heights of 250 credits. There’s no Max Bet widget, which means that you’ll need to click feverishly to get to the top figure, but that doesn’t prove too tedious.

Moving onto the Autoplay option, you’ll note that a small popup will appear when you select this button, with various settings offered. This will allow customers to set the number of waves they play, but also whether they want a loss or win limit; the latter two options are most wise if you have a strict budget to work with. When you start playing with this feature, the Autoplay button turns into a counter, which may leave you thinking you can’t stop the spins manually. This isn’t the case – you tap the widget and the reels will grind to a halt.

Despite there being an Option and Paytable toggle, in addition to the Spin widget, there’s actually nothing else for you to change or prep prior to your game, which means the controls are very basic. Although simplicity is key to a user interface, ones that appear to have too little can put users off also.

    Wilds and Super Wilds

As we’ve already mentioned, there’s two types of wilds at play within Rise of Anubis. Even though that makes it seem like there’s double the features, there’s actually not as they both do the same thing. The only real difference is that the super wilds can only play in the base game, and have to be on the second, third and fourth reels.

Not all is lost just yet though, as there are the free spins lurking about inside this tomb too. They gift a series of spins and a multiplier, with both dependent on the number of symbols found. Even though we didn’t trigger any free games, we were able to find out the maximum prize amount for you: 10 spins and (we think) a x50 multiplier. It isn’t great, but it’s good enough to make the initial bet worthwhile.

    Rest of the Paytable

In regards to all the other icons left, the most you can ever hope to receive is 500 coins for five of a kind of the Eye of Horus. As you can undoubtedly see, Rise of Anubis isn’t a high payout title, but more a middling ground between low and high.

All of the symbols require a min of three matches before a win is triggered, and they will always need to land on an active winline and play from left to right. This is pretty standard for slot machines worldwide, so every type of player should feel right at home when playing.

    Rising up

It’s unlikely that Rise of Anubis will rise up through the ranks to be a number one title, mainly because of its lack of financial impact, however, that isn’t to say it won’t keep garnering interest from curious gamers. This slot is probably a three out of five star rating at best, but you may feel differently when you play.
