When Ghostbusters was released to theaters in 1984, brilliant comedic performances by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson made their human characters instantly recognizable by fans and film buffs. Even today, Venkman, Egon, Winston and Raymond remain beloved characters by the millions of fans who fondly remember this film, its sequel, and its many spinoffs.

But there was another star born of the movie: one that was just a little less alive than the previously mentioned characters. Slimer, a ghost that is more mischievous than dangerous. Throughout many of the future Ghostbusters projects, he would become one of the main stars, serving as a nuisance and a comedic foil for the most traditional heroes.

Who You Gonna Call?

The Ghostbusters: Slimers Gone Wild video slot is a five reel game with 50 paylines, in which players wager multiples of 50 coins before each spin. It is clear that the sometimes disgusting ghost is the star of the show here: the cabinet features Slimer on a special board above the main gaming screen, and there's a ton of neon green blaring from the display, making this a game that truly stands out from the other machines around it on the casino floor. As with most games of this type, the object is to match identical symbols from left to right across the reels.
