Mystic Slots

Horror film fans and other aficionados of pure terror will be right at home playing Mystic Slot, a spooky Games OS creation.

In this game, you will be reacquainted with the most iconic characters of the genre in a creepy setting, in the middle of the night.

If that perspective has not scared you away yet, do stick around and let’s see how we can make the best of this terrifyingly rewarding – and fun – slot game which is available with no download at most sites.

Once upon a Time, on Halloween Night…

This game might not be set precisely on Halloween, but it might as well be October 31st and it compares well with other freaky games such as NetEnts Blood Suckers. We are standing at the entrance of an apparently deserted ancient graveyard, in the middle of a dark night. The gate does not seem to have been touched by a human hand in a very, very long time. The walls are crumbling apart, and the trees are all dead. The developers were certainly going for a spooky setup, and one must admit that they have succeeded.

The five reels of the game stand out quite a bit from the background with their uniform white colour and rather uninspired design. Nothing much is going on there, and that is a shame considering the attention to details that was put into the background.

The sound atmosphere, however, is in sync with the game universe: dark and creepy, just what we needed to get a little bit more in the mood to play Mystic Slots.

Demon Hunter on the Job

In order to be fully prepared to defeat the evil creatures that lurk in the shadows of the game, a more thorough look at the gameplay goes a long way! Luckily, all the commands you will need to use are gathered at the bottom of the game screen, right below the reels. All buttons are nicely integrated within the game world.

The first switch is labelled Lines and it will allow you to activate anything between 1 and 9 paylines across the reels. Right above it are a (+) and a (-) buttons, there to let you select the amount of your bet, which can be between 0.20 and 2 coins per line, and per spin. Bold players will appreciate the handy Bet Max button further to the right, ready to activate all paylines and launch the reels all at once. Others will stick to the classic Spin button, or Autospin for a predetermined number of uninterrupted bets.

Face Your Fears and Collect the Gold!

There are of course 13 symbols in total on the reels of Mystic slots, and we will keep the last three for later as they are a bit special.

Each of the ten basic icons is scarier than the last, and some can yield significant cash rewards. The Bat is the most valuable of all, with a whopping x5000 reward! Before her you will find Crystal Balls, Spell Books, Rattlesnakes and Gargoyles, bloody Masks, Rats, Skulls, giant Spiders and finally melting Candles.

All symbols are light up and scream when they form a winning combination, and some even begin to move… Frights and fun guaranteed.

The Special Three

As promised, the last symbols on the paytable have some special tricks up their sleeves.

The Mummy, covered in bandages, is the Scatter of the game. It can award Free Spins whether it is on a payline or not, with up to ten free games at stake. Always a welcome addition to the game.

The Wild card in Mystic Slots is a howling Werewolf. As the name suggest, it can substitute for any of the basic symbols described earlier and act as a sort of joker. One more chance for you to hitting the jackpot!

Lastly, the Vampire symbols trigger a Bonus game if found on an active payline. The game is a succession of different stages where you have to choose between statues, magic orbs, shadow creatures and a final secret stage to keep the cash bonuses piling up. Some choices will bring the Bonus game to an early end, so choose wisely.

Creepy Fun for All the Family

Mystic Slots is a bit of a misnomer, since you will not be facing a seer looking into her crystal ball but rather strange and fearsome creatures in an abandoned cemetery. Regardless, this Halloween game is a lot of fun to play and the rewards can get quite high even with the most frequent symbols.

Some players might think that nine paylines are not enough, or that the Bonus game is too hard to win (which it can be), but Mystic Slots is certainly worth a good try nonetheless and if you don't feel it's lucrative enough it is available as free slot game.
