The Norse mythology theme might not be as prevalent in slot machines as Greek mythology-themed games but it is still a proven formula for developers across the board. The legend of Thor, Odin, and Loki is the perfect back story for an entertaining slot game so it is clear to see why Everi have chosen to use it for Gods & Titans.

Symbols across the reels are very much associated with Norse mythology, as you might expect. The graphics are surprisingly average so it is a bit tricky to work out what they all are.

There is obviously Thor's Hammer, Horn of Odin, a raven (in Norse mythology the ravens Huginn and Muninn fly around Midgaard to carry messages to Odin), Odin's gold ring Draupnir, and the regular 10-through-to-Ace symbols that are displayed on multi-coloured jewels with gold linings.

The music and graphics make this feel like a bit of an old-fashioned slot machine but there is still a market for those old school players who adore the classic slots feel to some games. Personally, I feel it drags the game down a bit.

It appears that the Wild is represented by Jormungandr, a sea serpent, and has the ability to substitute for all other symbols, except for the Bonus icons, to complete any potential winning combinations across the reels. The Wilds can also appear as Stacked Wilds across the reels.

The Free Spin symbols are displayed by a Free Spin icon and this is the key to unlocking the free spins bonus round. That in itself is refreshing to see a number of bonus features that can be activated on this game.

There is also a Bonus symbol that triggers the Talisman Bonus. This is a pick and match bonus where players must select old-world symbols and attempt to find the identical symbols to try and win a prize.

There are a few decent features included on this slot. The range of features is impressive with Stacked Wilds and two bonus features. The inclusion of free spins is always great to see and it gives us hope that the big wins can be triggered if you get a bit of luck on your spins.

There is so much going on in this slot game. It might not be the most lucrative and it feels like it is a case of quantity over quality but the high-octane action is a delight to behold if you are in the thrust of a hot run.

Norse mythology slots are always a sure-fire hit in my eyes and luckily I can say that this slot does not damage my opinion of them. Everi could do with perhaps releasing a sequel because it does feel quite dated. The gameplay, however, is undoubtedly timeless even if it could be a little less stubborn in its payouts.
