I’d write this off as a rather dull round if it was not for the fact that all wins are tripled. This gives you the chance to win 30,000 coins for 5 wilds – or 1500x your total spin amount for 5 shields. The added interest from this is a great reason to try this slot on its own. This feature can be retriggered during play, with 3+ shields getting you 15 more spins in addition to the scatter prizes.

Saucify has come up with a winner here. This is a tricky theme to pull off, with stiff competition from the likes of NextGen’s 300 Shields. All-in-all the Age of Spartans has the right mix of atmosphere and game play to be a worthy alternative, and as Saucify's titles can be played in your browser, this title looks great on all devices. If I could improve one thing it would be to add something extra to the free spins game. For example some on reel interest like random or expanding wilds – or maybe a pick-em game. This is not something you’ll be too bothered about if you hit the 30,000 coin line wins possible during the existing free spins!
