By taking a closer look at the icons, the fishies we see can be disappointing because the extent of your reward is dependent on how many you manage to match – if you only get three of each, players are looking at between 1 and 50 credits, which is underwhelming. However, if five of each are uncovered then the amount rockets up considerably, reaching 1,000. Of course it’s quite unlikely that five of any will come up often, if at all, during one playthrough. Therefore this is a slot machine with a lot volatility, meaning it isn’t for the fainthearted.

The wild is a jellyfish that resembles a mushroom and it won’t pay you a single penny, but it will do its usual job and remove all other icons except for the scatter symbol. What is interesting about it though (besides the obvious), is that when it is combined with the gold coin icon, it triggers the feature game.

We don’t want to reveal too much about this part of the game because it’s more amusing when you have no spoilers, but we’ll give you a hint: Medusa is about. That’s it; make of it what you will, but we promise it is a good bonus round, albeit an unusual one that we didn’t see coming.

When the title loads customers will begin with 1 payline, and it is up to them to increase to the right amount best suited to their bank balances; we always suggest playing with the maximum amount because it gives more longevity to a title, but it really is your choice. Deep sea doesn’t give us much to comment on when all is said and done; it has good and bad points, and there are clear areas where improvements could work wonders, most notably with in game features and graphics. But that’s about it, and that’s just us being picky due to playing a high volume of slot machines, you might feel differently to us when you give it a go.
