The Hellboy story is one of the most interesting tales in the world of comic books. A half-human, half-demon hell-child with a right fist of doom who fights against Nazis and brutal beasts on behalf of the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense – what can be more exciting than that? Ok, so perhaps this Gothic comic theme isn't every spinner’s cup of tea, but if you're reading this review then we're sure that you at least have some interest in spinning up some Hellboy action.

And boy, is there some action! For starters, the overall aspect of this Hellboy slot machine is designed to emulate the traditional comic book style. There is another symbol in Hellboy which possesses its own superhero powers. One of these is a scatter symbol, which is depicted by Hellboy's right hand of doom. This icon will pay out wins without falling on active pay lines, meaning that players can win up to 500x the value of the total bet that is placed per spin. Finding three or more of these icons will also trigger the special “Underworld Bonus” in which players are sent on a mission to find the lost relic of power. Sounds easy, right?
