Fairy Tale transports the player all the way up to paradise, quite literally. The game is set in the sky, among fluffy clouds and facing a beautiful sunrise. The reels are entirely transparent to let you appreciate the view.

Another source of inspiration for the design team was the fairy universe, hence the name of the game. Therefore, there is a strong nature theme going on as well: mighty tree trunks and intricate branches covered in green leaves seem to be poking out from the clouds and help separate the reels themselves.

The result is a beautiful game design, graceful and pleasant, with a light green undertone and a soft light that gives Fairy Tale a sunny and elegant touch.

There are several steps to follow before you can set the reels into motion and hope for winning combinations to appear. First of all, direct you attention to the top left hand corner to set your preferred coin value by clicking on the Coin icon (your total credit will be adjusted accordingly). Your next step is to choose how many coins to bet, and on how many paylines. Use the arrows and switches at the bottom of the screen to do so. And that’s it!

In Fairy Tale, your goal is to form winning combinations of symbols on an active payline from left to right in order to reap the corresponding cash prize. There are five reels on the set, divided into 20 possible paylines. Some combinations as short as two symbols are also available, which gives you many opportunities to win! A click on the Spin button will spin the reels once, with the possibility of doubling your wins through a quick virtual card game – hit the Take Risk button to do so, but keep in mind that losing the mini game means losing your wager! The paytable of Fairy Tale is filled with ten beautifully designed symbols, which integrate perfectly within the game universe.

The first five of them are a number 10, the Jack, Queen, King and Ace which are a familiar sight for most players. These low-value symbols are drawn elegantly in a golden font.

But what will definitely catch your eye is the upper half of the menu. Combining two of these symbols is enough to start winning. The first one of them is an intricate Magical Symbol, followed by the three Fairies: the Red-Haired, the Brunette and the Blonde, five of which being the key to an enchanted jackpot. The symbols are accompanied by sleek 3D animations where the Fairies flap their feathered wings on a background of angelic music and pink clouds. Heavenly indeed.

There is one more symbol worth mentioning: the Diamond. It acts as both the Scatter and the Wild card of the game. This clearly means two things: it can substitute any other symbol to form a winning combination, and Diamond combos can occur regardless of alignment, anywhere on the reels.

Moreover, a Diamond combo will trigger a Free Spin Bonus award. This bonus will last as long as at least one of the four cages at the bottom of the screen is locked. The special Magic Key symbol appears randomly on the reels and unlock one cage after the other. The first cage is a x2 multiplier, replaced by a x3 bonus once opened, up to a x5 multiplier for the fourth and last cage. Collecting Diamonds should clearly rank very high on your to-do list while playing Fairy Tale.

This being said, the soft and tranquil atmosphere can be a problem for players who enjoy fast-paced gaming and higher stakes, as big wins can be relatively harder to trigger outside of the Free Spins mode.
