Possibly the Biggest Announcement at G2E 2014
Bally Technologies has been able to secure the licensing rights to finally bring the sitcom from the small screen to the slot screen roughly ten years after it went off the air. The game was initially debuted at the Global Gaming Expo in 2014 in Las Vegas, and is slated for release sometime between the end of 2014 and the first half of 2015 alongside other slots from big name properties such as Duck Dynasty, Wonder Woman, Betty Boop, and more.
Friends Slot Features
The slot itself is being offered in Bally's Alpha Pro 2 Cabinet, which features a large 55 inch display that is presented vertically to allow for players to experience some unique features in full 1080p resolution. The game cabinet also features booming sound through a series of 7.1 surround sound stereo speakers and a comfortable seat that allows for some extended gaming sessions.
The Friends slot is a 5 reel game that features multiple paylines, Wilds, Free Spins, and multiple bonus games that include: a Wedding Bonus, a Birthday Bonus, a Thanksgiving Bonus, a Halloween Bonus, and a progressive jackpot that can pay out huge six figure wins.
Bally has been a bit tight lipped about the slot's details, so we don't have much information on what the particular bonuses consist of and how they pay out. What we do know though is that the bonuses are set off when a certain amount of Bonus symbols are unveiled on the reels, which then activates a Wheel of Fortune, wherein cash prizes and the above mentioned bonus rounds can be activated.
Reel symbols on the game consist of particular show characters such as Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe, and Ross. Other symbols include the couch at the coffee shop Central Perk, guitars, picture frames, and more. Adding to the crisp visuals are clips from the show, which play out in sequences to help keep players entertained.

The release of the Friends video slot was a huge success and we can't wait to see what it has to offer. I've always been a huge fan of the TV series and can only imagine how fun the slot is going to be.
