NRVNA The Nxt Xperience features a typical 5x3 grid and 30 fully adjustable paylines. The wild is represented by a pink orb, in the middle of which is a star. The wild can replace all other symbols to help you make up winning combinations. It cannot, however, stand in for the scatter. Not only that, but all bet line wins with wild symbols pay a generous x3 multiplier. Unlike in some slots, the wild can appear on any position and on all five reels. It appears during the base game and the free spins round.

Regular symbols include some casino staples such as bells, cherries, 7s and horseshoes. However, they are backlit by a strange, diaphanous light in accordance with the game’s mystical theme. There’s also a shamrock and a horseshoe. The cherries pay best: five for two, 70 for three, 300 for four and 2,000 for five. Next, it’s the glowing 7, which grants 60 for three, 200 for four and 1,000 for five. The bell pays 50 for three, 150 for four and 500 for five, while the shamrock pays 40/100/200. Last in line is the horseshoe, which pays 25/50/150.

In addition to the traditional fruit machine symbols, there are five different playing cards, from 10 to A. At the lower end of the sliding scale, five 10s pays 70, but five Aces pays 125.

We think it’s a little odd that a game named after a transcendent state of consciousness features old-fashioned slot staples like four-leaf clovers, bells and horseshoes, but at least they are brought in line with the theme in terms of the design they are given.

Like the similar looking Glowor Starburst slots, NRVNA keeps things relatively simple, though that’s not a criticism: it is clearly targeted at players who prioritise hitting wins rather than being spellbound by graphics.

The features in the game are quite standard, though the presence of a NRVNA bonus wheel makes the free spins round even more interesting. The visuals are solid, slightly spacey and spectral, and the laid-back soundtrack gets a big thumbs up – particularly if you like Ibiza chill-out music.
