In Vino Slots

If you enjoy a tipple or two, then the sophisticated In Vino, the online video slot from SGS Universal could really hit the spot.

Visit the vault to be surrounded by some of the best vintages around as well as the chance to spin the reels for instant cash prizes.

But will your glass be half full or half empty? Here’s a review of In Vino by SGS Universal with everything you need to know to play.

A Glass Affair

As the game loads in your browser you’ll be struck by the stunning graphics which are refined and detailed without being flashy or ostentatious.

The game is undoubtedly a classy affair – or should that be glassy affair (geddit?) – and you’ll feel the stresses of life ease away as you step into the wine cellar to sample a vintage or two.

The wooden shelves which were depressingly bare on the loading screen fill up suddenly as you enter into the game, and with several glasses in front of you and a bottle on the side table, you’ll feel that this is a place you’ll be reluctant to leave.

The lighting is ambient without being dim, and the brick walls really create the sense that you’ve descended into the cellar to sample the wines on offer.

On the reels there’s an array of symbols that you might expect, from a juicy bunch of grapes, a generous glass of red wine, a corkscrew, barrel and ice bucket too.

So without further delay, move onto the main game - perhaps enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple as you do!

Explore the Vault

With so many sensational vintages on offer, it would be a crime not to explore the vault further to discover the prizes that await if you’re lucky on the reels.

To do this you’ll need to navigate to the paytable but like some of the other SGS Universal games, unless you know where to look the button isn’t immediately obvious. On the bottom right of the reels, you’ll see a very small white box with the letter “i”; click on this to enter and exit out of the paytable. It’s obvious once you know how!

The paytable contains a list of the symbols and the prizes you could win by spinning a winning combination. It’s an interactive table so the prizes that you’re viewing correlate directly to the current selected stake. If you want to see what you could win if you bet more, or less, you’ll need to exit back out of the paytable and alter your bet. When you re-enter the paytable you’ll immediately notice that the prizes have changed. This is a great tool to help you decide how much you want to bet on each game.

The corkscrew offers the top prize, providing a win of 25,000 if you land five matching symbols. You don’t need to match five symbols to win, but the more you match the higher the prize! Wins start from matching just three symbols and there are a wide variety of prizes on offer from the lowest prize (the wine glass) right up to the corkscrew.

Taste Your Tipple

Once you’ve familiarised yourself with the prizes that you could win, exit the paytable and return to the main game to set up your stake before you play.

In Vino is a 5-reel game configured in a standard 5x3 layout, with a maximum of 9 paylines available. You can choose to play with fewer paylines if you prefer by using the buttons on the main screen to deactivate some. The more paylines you choose the better your chances of winning but the more credits each spin will cost!

You can also alter the amount each line is worth too, from the minimum of 0.01 up to the maximum of 5.00. This provides sufficient flexibility to accommodate players who want to bet either low or high.

The scatter symbol unlocks a hidden bonus game if you spin three or more. Unlike the other symbols, these don’t have to be on an active payline but can appear anywhere on the board. There’s also the wild symbol which substitutes for others and increases your chances of creating a winning line.

Quality Wines

In Vino by SGS Universal is a game that can’t fail to tickle your tastebuds, no matter whether you prefer red, rose or white! With outstanding graphics and smooth gameplay, the lack of real extras isn’t so noticeable because the rest of the video slot is such a superior play.
