The legend of Bigfoot is one that has been around for many years, with this American piece of folklore being the idea behind films such as Harry and the Hendersons. Belief is irrelevant when it comes to engaging with the tale, which is way Big Money Bigfoot is such an adaptable slot machine.
As this is from a brand such as RTG, you can expect high quality and thorough attention to detail. However, just because there’s strong foundations, doesn’t mean that a real cash slot is guaranteed to run as smoothly as it should. This is why we’re here: to test how well the 5-reels of this slot machine works, and whether the variance is worth the initial wager. You may only need to part with 0.25 credits to begin with (you can go up to 125.00), but you still want to know whether it’s worth the price.

The paytable consists of 11 symbols in all, which gives you a nice varied platform with which to work; you can win up to 2,000 credits from a winning wild combination. However, while the monetary gain is exciting, we’re all about the more in-depth features, the interactive bonuses. In Big Money Bigfoot you have a rather limited paytable in terms of bonuses, with only one offered.
This feature comes from the scatter icon, the logo of the activity itself. Once you’ve lined up the win, you’ll be given 5 spins, which is a little underwhelming to say the least. When you think of bonuses, you think of large returns and prizes that wow you, yet you don’t get that here. At least not initially. You see, for the rewards to pour in, you need Bigfoot to change as many symbols into wilds as possible. As this is a random event, we can’t promise that it’ll happen, and so we’re back to that underwhelming sense of gaming.
Seeing as we’ve looked at the gameplay in all its limited glory, it’s about time we looked at the aesthetic and the picture RTG has tried to create. Instead of taking the rustic route of this beast rambling through the undergrowth, you have a wealthy Bigfoot seemingly living inside a woodland mansion. Unique is the word of the day when it comes to describing the graphics here.
You never see a building in or beyond the reels, which adds to the enigma of the legend itself, but what you do see are grand grates lavished with dollar signs. Dollar signs of gold, we’d like to add. In truth, the overall product isn’t zealous at all, in fact it’s rather subtle, but the wonder it ignites within us is second to none.
Those of you with keen eyesight will have noticed the Random Jackpot display in the top right hand corner, a value that was at the height of 3,547 credits when we played. That is a tempting figure to say the least, but the niggling issue we have is how to access that money. Indeed it says it’s random, but there’s normally a hint as to how that works: a certain bet level, after winning spins, etc. But you don’t get that at all.
Big Money Bigfoot instead leaves you guessing, constantly taunting you with that figure but never revealing to you what might lead to such a large win. It becomes a legend itself, almost more alluring than Bigfoot. In our opinion, we think it’s a poor decision not to explain more about the Random Jackpot, but that choice isn’t in our hands, and so all we can do is complain.
The woods are an acquired taste, with Bigfoot a legend that you might not be that fussed about. If that’s the case, we have BetSoft on hand with their 5-reels slot machine called Cash Money Mermaids. As you can see, even though the two brands are different, they’ve been obvious in the wealth they promise, and both have focused on legends.
According to the stats of both games, they’re an exact match in every way shape and form, with only the imagery being an exception. We like that we can find multiple brands that we can explore without worries about adaptability or user friendliness. However, we dislike that they’re such a match that they’re almost identical when it comes to the layout and paytable.
RTG has covered a wide range of topics and themes in their time, but we’d say that this is one of their more unconventional. Usually you have woodland fairy tale or magical slot, and not ones about furry beasts that may or may not exist. In that regard we appreciate their creativity in delivering a game that fills a gap in the market, however it doesn’t mean that their slot is the best around.
