Volatility didn’t seem overly high, with small and frequent prizes causing a big early win to slowly ebb away over my next few sessions. But it was frustrating that I only activated Fire Free Spins once, while the Hold N’ Load feature never triggered at all during 300 spins.

Triggering 8 Fire Free Spins after just 19 bets on Colt Lightning Inferno was a great start. I collected wins on most spins, but it was the build-up of the sticky fire frames that gave me the biggest thrill. After the final free spins, all the fire frames turned into matching eagles to create an overall feature win of 75.50x my bet. After hitting just one additional fireball scatter, which awarded one extra spin, I felt like I hadn’t benefited from anywhere near the maximum potential of this feature, but had enjoyed its gameplay.
1,024 Pay Ways, Wild Lightning, and the Lightning Blaze Feature
After a great start, I found that my winnings slowly ebbed away over my next 281 spins. The 1,024 pay ways, Wild Lightning symbols, and the Lightning Blaze Feature combining to produce a variety of small wins that mainly only bought a few more spins. The most pay ways I was awarded on any winning spin was 16, and it was only a small win made up of low-paying jacks and one wild. The Lightning Blaze is the most interesting of these three features, as it adds frames to the reels that transform into matching symbols. But the best result was only an 8x win.
Symbols Collections and the Hold N’ Load Feature
The most disappointing part of playing Colt Lightning Inferno was the symbol collection mechanic; admittedly, that’s because I didn’t get to play the Hold N’ Load Feature it triggers. The collection of the gold coin multipliers by the burning-hot Inferno Core to the left of the reels initially raises the heartbeat, especially as it looks fit to burst as it changes color from black to orange. Despite being very much in the mood for bonus chasing because of my early free spin feature success, after 300 spins, I quickly got bored of the symbol collections, and my interest cooled.
It’s a shame, as the Hold N’ Load Feature looks good. Reward, Power, and Mystery Boosts are the three modifiers that made me want to chase a feature that offers a top prize of up to 50,000x the bet.
