Plutus Slot

A minor Roman god, not to be confused with Pluto, Plutus was the Roman god of riches. Despite not being one of the major gods in Roman mythology, Plutus remained a name written in the history books and BlazeSoft decided that this was good enough to make a new video slot game.

Plutus is a 40 payline slot machine with five reels that have four symbols each. The reels of this game are loaded with symbols from Roman mythology and history, such as the god Plutus himself, Medusa, Roman legionnaires, weapons, harps, and other similar trinkets.

The game is set against a background of a clouded temple, high in the mountains. In-between the two pillars, you will find the reels of the game with all control buttons situated at the bottom of the screen. The slot includes an auto play option and several other buttons that will make your gameplay easier.

As you spin the reels, you will hear the gentle sounds of the harp playing in the back, with the only interruption coming when you are close to hitting one of the slot’s bonus features. The Plutus slot machine offers a couple of bonus rounds, and a wild symbol of great value.

With 40 paylines, you can expect a lot of payouts and a relatively low volatility, but also a lower number of huge wins compared to some other slots.

Symbol combinations in the game pay anywhere between 5 and 1.000 credits depending on which symbols you line up and how many of them are on an active payline. You can choose the number of paylines you want to play as well, which means you can adjust your bet any way you see fit. Raise Your Shields

Looking at the paytable of Plutus, you will quickly notice that the game offers quite a few ways to win big. For starters, Plutus plays on 40 paylines and with a decent number of high paying combinations, you can expect to see plenty of hits just from the basic game itself.

The wild symbol, which is represented by the god Plutus himself can appear on all reels. This symbol acts as an expanding wild, which means it will cover the entire reel it appears on, making all of its symbols wild. Since multiple wilds can appear, you are looking at some potentially massive payouts as a single line of 5 wilds pays 2.000 coins, and once they expand, you are looking at an 80.000 coins jackpot.

The wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the bonus and scatter symbols. The bonus symbol can appear on all reels, and once you stop three or more, the “Shields Up” bonus game is activated. The game actually has you picking apples off a tree and is interrupted if you find a snake in one of them, which can be somewhat inconsistent with its name, but still quite lucrative.

The scatter symbol is represented by the Medusa. This symbol activates free spins if three or more are found on the reels. Three scatters activate 10 free spins, four scatters activate 15 free spins, and five scatters activate 20 free spins.

With such a long list of lucrative features, the Plutus video slot certainly has a lot of potential to make any player into a big winner. The game’s features actually lack slightly in creativity, but this can be overlooked thanks to the reasonable graphics and quite generous payouts.

Pray to the God of Riches

The Plutus slot can be found at a good number of online casinos around the internet. The game is available for both practice play and real money play at these sites, allowing you to get the hang of the game before you actually risk your money.

The play money mode does not require any downloads or deposits and you can even try the game for free right here. Plutus is available for Android and iPhone devices as well, giving mobile casino players a chance to try the game on their phones.

The game features 40 paylines, which means a slightly higher minimum bet compared to some other slots. However, the game does allow you to reduce the number of paylines if you choose to. The maximum bet is limited to 2 coins per payline, which means this is definitely not a high-stakes slot machine.

Worship the God You prefer

Roman and Greek mythologies feature hundreds of different gods and divine creatures. Slot developers have always been quite fond of this topic and have developed hundreds of slot games that use Roman and Greek gods as their main protagonists.

The Roman Empire slot by Portomaso Gaming is a great game that will help you understand the inner workings of the great Roman Empire and introduce you to the main players. If you are looking to meet the greatest of all Roman gods, the Jupiter slot by Capecod Gaming will give you just the chance you were looking for. Finally, the popular Gladiator progressive jackpot slot by Playtech is another one you should try if you are a true fan of Roman history.

Even more popular are slot machines with Greek motives, with the likes of Age of The Gods, Coin of Apollo, Hercules Son of Zeus, and Palace of Poseidon all featuring the popular mythical figures of Greece mythology. Players who would like to try all Roman and Greek themed slots would need to put aside hours for a task that big as hundreds of titles are available in the category.

Roman Legions Await

Similar to most BlazeSoft slots, Plutus is a low volatility slot game with lots of paying spins and a decent chance at big payouts, which means a solid overall RTP. The game has plenty to offer in terms of gameplay, but lacks in innovation and design as it is not unique and copies many things from other BlazeSoft games, such as certain sounds and other elements.

The fans of Roman mythology will be happy to see a game where the theme is not one of the major roman gods, but rather a lesser known one. That said, the god in question does resemble the Greek god Poseidon in many ways. And when it comes to design, it is another copy that does not make the game look very unique at all.

To make things even more confusing, BlazeSoft have decided to throw in a number of legionnaires’ equipment as symbols, but Plutus is not the god of war, which makes the context kind of blurry. Nevertheless, Plutus is quite a fun game and one that has quite a good chance at awarding you some pretty lucrative payouts, so giving it a shot is certainly a very reasonable decision to make.
