You won’t have seen a background page like this too often. The artwork is really original. Green, pink, yellow and blue are the main colours. The game’s name is in quirky pink lettering at the top middle but isn’t large or imposing. On the top left and top right are details on the jackpot. Between them are stylish Asian buildings and funky green lights representing a cool nightlife.

Either side of the game is the number of paylines. While usually the individual numbers are given, here only the total is provided. Which isn’t surprising when you find out there are 88. The 5 reels blend in well with the overall setting. The light yellow isn’t distracting and as the icons don’t have the same outline the artier tone is kept. The 8 is everywhere on the symbols, unsurprising as there are 3 of them in different colours (red, white and blue), but the other icons will get your attention too.

There’s plenty of flexibility with the betting. You can play between 1 and 88 lines. You can’t dial in the number you want but there is a Max Lines bet of 88 if you’re interested in playing at the high end. With the actual betting amount, there is a similar flexibility. You start at 0.01, but can play up to 0.10, as well as 0.25, 0.50, 1.0, 2.50 and 5.0. If you click Max Bet it gives you the most credit per lines, but if you want the game maximum of 440, you need to be sure you have the betting lines on 88.

The number 8 is even more noticeable when looking at the payouts. The most valuable symbol is the dog, worth a maximum of 18,888 for 5. For getting 4, you take away and 8, with the same system for 3 and 2. The rather sinister looking parrot has values made up only of 8, with a best value of 8888. The eagle has a similar system but with 5, and is third most useful. Only the top 5 ranking icons give anything for 2 of a kind.

There are some great touches for the Autoplay option. On the main screen you can put it to 5, 10 or 25 spins, but if you want extra detail you can also select 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1,000. You can also decide when the game stops, with 6 options offered. These include on any win, when a jackpot is won or when a feature is triggered. You can also change or mute the volume level. It gets a little confusing during the free games as some mountain symbols have a lotus included. If 3 or more of the lotuses appear you get 3 extra games and all prizes are tripled during these free games.
