Lock N’ Spin Feature
After activating the Lock N’ Spin round twice, I’m convinced this is a real bonus-chaser's feature. At the heart of it is a respin counter that resets with each new coin that sticks to the reels, and you’re awarded all coin values at the end of the feature. Three expansion symbols elevate the gameplay to a new level by unlocking the 13 extra reel positions that increase the reel grid from 5x3 to 7x4. When the stars started to land and reveal jackpots, I got very excited, especially as I thought I’d won two grand jackpots. Having thought I was going to win over 2,000x my bet, I was gutted when my total win was declared as 113.50x. After reading the rules for a second time, I realised that you need to hit three matching jackpot symbols to win the corresponding jackpot. Gutted!
The second activation of the Lock N’ Spin feature was a shock, as it came only 12 spins after the first. It was no real surprise that the win was only 11x, and it highlighted that the reel grid won’t always expand, nor will you always get the exciting buildup of possible jackpot wins. Despite the highs and lows I experienced during the bonus round, I enjoyed the action enough to want to chase it again, and it’s a shame that there isn’t a bonus-buy option.
