Blazing Chariots

It’s hard to know where to begin with a game this size, but let’s start with the bonuses available: there are four different feature games to unlock during your playthrough. All of which are unique.

To get near any of them, you need to get at least three of the bonus symbol, which happens to be a fighter clad in his uniform, striking down a sword. When this happens, players will be taken to a wheel and asked to spin it, with the indicator landing on the prize you’ve won.

  • Prizes on Parade: If this is the feature you win, you will see four soldiers stood before you, three of which have their shields facing you; these are marked with multipliers and collect symbols. The shields will flash through these outcomes, and all you have to do is choose when they stop. Although the parade can last quite a while, and can give a lot of multipliers up to x50, eventually it will end and your winnings be counted.
  • Road to Rome: Another meaty bonus level, here customers have to move their centurion across a board to get to Rome. It has a few multipliers dotted about, as well as central ‘Go to Rome’ tile, but there’s no guarantee you’ll roll the dice enough times to make it there. If you do manage it, you’ll get a huge payout.
  • Wild Power Spins: During this round your reels are about to get wild happy; you will be awarded a series of three spins, and the wilds will change positions during each round. This is much simpler than the other bonuses so far, but still very rewarding.
  • Caesar's Free Spins: We don’t want to diss Caesar, but this is the dullest of all the bonus rounds. This is because you spin a wheel to determine the number of free spins and the multiplier, and then they launch. It’s not exactly awe-inspiring.

Wow. That’s a lot to be getting on with, but wait, there’s more, this time in the shape of reel modifiers.

Modified Battles

These can occur randomly, and are only signalled by the toot of the centurion’s horn. While not necessary to enjoy the game, they really add another level to this already layered activity, and we just love it!

  • Five of a kind: Says it for itself, but you get a five of a kind win, guaranteed.
  • Reelus Maximus: Terrible pun but will grant players a 3x3 re-evaluation of the reels, meaning more money for you.
  • Big Win: Again self explanatory, but it will get you a large sum of money that includes the bonus icon.
  • Super Bonus Reels: For an entire spin, more bonus icons than usual will show up on the grid.

A Match to the Death

Centurion doesn’t have variable paylines and so you will be stuck with the full 20 throughout your experience, however you can change the amount of money you bet. The stake starts at 0.20 (that’s your total bet), which can be increased to a much higher 250 credits; there’s no maximum bet widget, so you have to click through the sums for yourself. It’s tedious but there you have it.

If you should want to autoplay this baby, you need to choose how many rounds you go - you have between 10 and 40 or until you hit the bonus round, the latter option being a nice touch.
