The game itself is a six reel, 192 payline video slot that features a medieval theme, containing knights, kings, jesters, scepters, queens, crows, and a variety of card suit symbols. The game’s pyramid setup is very good, bringing a unique look to players and a breathing life into a genre that has many times been held stagnant. Feature wise the game includes Bonus Reels, 5, 12, or 25 paylines that are set off during when you unveil 3, 4, or 5 Scatter Symbols on the reels. The game also has a feature during the Free Spins round that will change to one symbol randomly during the free spin. What that means to the player is that the bonus rounds can potentially pay off in a big way.
During my test sessions with Knight's Keep I found that the game doesn’t pay off quite as quickly as you may imagine. Even with all of the paylines, noteworthy wins were few and far between, but when the game does get a good win, watch out! The best mode for me was obviously the Free Spins round, which really got me some huge wins. While I was only able to get the 25 spins once, the 12 and 5 free spins did pop up much more frequently, and I still got good results.
