Fairy Land 2 follows the adventures of a cheerful frog in another dimension which is quite simply enchanting.

Although the reels contain many of the usual symbols found on fruit machines such as bars, and Lucky 7’s, the background gives the appearance that you’re playing in the centre of a secret fairy glen.

With lush green grass, leaves and plants, a pond and delicate flowers scattered all over the screen, no wonder the frog is happy.

There are five reels in Fairy Land 2, which are configured in the standard 5x3 layout. You’ll be playing with up to nine paylines but it’s up to you how many you want to activate. You can choose to play with the maximum for the best chance of winning or you can reduce the active paylines if you prefer to bet low.

You’ll also have the option of deciding how much you want to bet with per line. The minimum amount per payline is 1 and the maximum amount is 25. Remember, this is the amount per line and not the total. To get the total bet you’ll need to multiply the number of active lines by your bet. You won’t need to calculate this manually (thankfully!), as the slot game will show exactly what’s at stake per spin.

The paytable will show you exactly what you need to win and how much each prize is worth. You can take a look by clicking on the “info” button on your control panel. You’ll usually need to spin at least three matches to scoop a prize but the amount you win depends on the symbol, and how much you’ve bet too.

You can opt to try and increase your winnings by playing the high risk Double game. This is available any time you land a win on the reels.

You’ll be playing a game of cards and up against the dealer. If your card is higher than theirs, you’ll earn double your prize and your winnings will be safe. But beware! If the dealer’s card is higher than yours then your prize will shrink to zero and you’ll return to the main game empty-handed. Is that a risk you’re prepared to take…?

As well as the chance to win prizes by matching regular symbols, there’s also an inventive bonus feature included in Fairy Land 2.

If you spin the bonus symbols you’ll unlock the hidden game, and although this could mean prizes for you there’s peril ahead for your froggy friend.

In the bonus feature, he’s trying to make it unscathed across the pond but he’ll need your help in placing the lily pads in front of him. If your amphibian pal falls into the water at any point, your bonus game is over and you’ll be returned to the main reels.

If you’re a success and reach the shore, there’s still more to come. Having helped your frog to safety, it will then (rather ungratefully!) hide from you in the bushes. Armed with a lantern you’ll have to find the frog, but beware of the alligators! If you shine your light on an alligator rather than the errant frog, your bonus round will be finished.

Fairy Land 2 by Belatra is quite a deceiving title because despite the almost ethereal appearance to the dimension, there’s no sight of the mythical winged creatures.
