Generic Much?

The first thought that came to our minds while playing and reviewing Treasure Hill was – is this going to be much too generic? Sadly, it turned out to be even more generic than we had anticipated.

But that’s to be expected with a developer like Casino Technology who has a history of not foraying into new ideas or themes, and playing it safe. It would come as an irony of sorts, especially when they expect their patrons – the players like you and us – to not play it safe. At any rate, Treasure Hill is just an Irish twist to the original theme of a fruit slot. We have reviewed a few Irish-themed slots before, and this isn’t much unlike them, either.

Treasure Hill Gameplay

The gameplay used in Treasure Hill is quite rudimentary. If you have played any old slot before, be assured that you will find playing this one as easy as you can imagine.

To begin with, there are 5 reels and 25 paylines. Your spins will eventually end up showing their true colour here, translating your luck (or, lack thereof – though, we hope not!) into money-spelling and bling-showering combinations of symbols. Like most Casino Technology slots, you need to get at least three symbols in order to strike a combination. Combos are read only from the left hand side to the right hand side, eliminating a huge chunk of possibilities in vertical or diagonal direction.

In terms of wagering, again, there isn’t much you need to be aware of. For each spin, you can wager a maximum of 25 coins (1 coin per line, you see), values of which will be limited by two caps of 1 cent and 20 cents. That brings the total money value you can splurge on one spin at $5 or less. This is absolutely fine, considering this is a penny slot. But for high-rollers and wide-margin-guzzlers, this might not spell a great news.

What Pays And What Plays

The symbols used in Treasure Hill are designed to evoke the Irish nationality and culture. The whole game is designed in various tinges of green – a colour that the Irish seem to love so dearly. Just take a look at these and you would know why Treasure Hill is all about having a swell time.

Regular symbols include four face cards (A, K, Q and J, all carrying bright colours and cool designs), a tobacco chillum, an overflowing mug of ale, an Irish hat adorned with a rainbow, a clover leaf, a golden horseshoe etc. The highest paying ones – the ones you would want to be present in combos that you strike – are the clover leaf and golden horseshoe. Five-of-its-kind strikes involving these yield 400 coins straightaway. Not a lot, we know – but still, that amounts to a 10x return on your investment.
