Neptune’s Gold features nicely detailed illustrations on all its symbols, which are set against a cool underwater background. Two tall columns bank each side of the reels, and cracked temple stones are cast along the bottom. Various sea creatures curl around the figures that make up the lower-valued symbols of 10, J, Q, K and A. These include fish, an eel and an octopus. A seahorse and dolphin start the climb up in symbol value, followed by a lovely topless (and somewhat inappropriately rendered) mermaid and King Neptune himself.

A huge open seashell displaying a pink pearl provides both the highest single-symbol payout as well as working as the game’s standard Wild. The pearl can fill in for any of the other symbols to complete a winning payline, with the exception of the Scatter and Bonus symbols. It also acts as a 2X multiplier.

Neptune’s Scatter symbol is illustrated with golden dishes and basically serves to award you with extra credits throughout the game play. Land two, and get one extra credit. Three will add two credits to your bank, while four gifts you with fifteen. Five scatter symbols appearing at once means you’ll receive a generous 200 credits for the gods deeming you so lucky.

Neptune’s Gold features just one basic bonus game, and like in many simpler Amaya slots, the prize is Free Spins. Launch into this feature by landing three or more treasure chest Bonus symbols at once. When you do this, six treasure chests will appear and you’ll choose one that will determine the number of free spins you’ve won. The minimum number any chest will award is four free spins, but you could be fortunate and win seven.

After choosing your chest, you’ll see six gold objects to choose from. Click one to reveal a free spins multiplier that could be 3X, 4X, 5X, or 6X. Then the free spins will roll, your total winnings will be revealed, and then you go back to the regular game.

Wager 0.01, 0.05, 0.10, or 0.25 credits per line, but know that you will be betting on all 20 lines with every spin. This means you can go as low as a 0.20 bet, or if you choose to “Bet Max”, you’ll drop 50.00 credits per spin. It’s also easy to auto spin up to 99 times at one set wager by clicking the controls on the lower right side of the screen.

Perhaps a little dated compared to more recent slots, Neptune’s Gold remains a solid offering from Amaya Gaming as it provides a good standard slot gaming experience if you don’t mind light nudity.
