Replicating the TV show

The familiar television studio is the backdrop to this 5x3 game, with reels appearing on a blacked-out grid. In most respects, the look of the game conforms to what you would expect. There are Max Bet and Spin buttons along the bottom of the screen, and tabs recording your total stake, bet-per-line, pay-lines and ‘paid’ amount. However, above the reels there are also three running tabs under the headings Safe 1, Safe 2 and Safe 3. More on those safes later.

The first thing you’ll want to do is choose how many pay-lines you want to play on, and also your bet-per-line. When you’ve done that, you can begin to look forward to beating the banker.

Beating the Banker

The aim is simple: land matching combinations of three, four or five to win pay-outs. You can also achieve a modest pay-out for two matching Jack symbols.

Symbols in Deal Or No Deal World Slot include gold playing card icons, the TV studio, the red button, the prize grid, silhouettes of contestants, gold and silver briefcases and the banker. The banker is the best-paying, yielding 1,000 for five, 500 for four and 125 for three. Next best is the player silhouette (750/250/75), followed by the TV studio (500/125/50).

The Deal Or No Deal symbol is wild, able to replace all others in the game save for the scatter.

Bonuses Galore

Three separate bonus games are in effect, each accessible by landing three, four or five Deal Or No Deal bonus symbols. The Reel Banker game is the first one. The player will receive continuous free spins, ending when the banker symbol lands in the central reel. All wins during the free spins are also doubled.

The second bonus game is known as the Banker’s Best Officer Bonus. The gamer is offered up to ten banker offers as he reveals boxes. If you refuse each offer, you’ll eventually be awarded the contents of the final briefcase.

With each spin, you’ve got the potential to trigger the bonus case feature. This is the big one to look out for, as it offers the potential to win the lucrative progressive jackpot. You will be transported to the case area, where 26 case are presented to you. Just like in the TV show, you’ll get to select the cases one by one. As you eliminate the cases (which are grey rather than red), the sum of cash behind each will be subtracted from the sum total. After the required number of cases have been eliminated, you’ll be asked the all-important question: deal or no deal? Mull the banker’s offer and decide whether it’s your lucky day. If you accept, the money will be credited to your account. If you decline, you continue in the hope of a superior offer or an advantageous reveal at the end.

If the final offer the banker makes is declined, you’ll have the opportunity to swap your box with the lone remaining other box.

Deal or No Deal?

With three separate interactive bonus games, it’s difficult to find fault with Deal Or No Deal World Slot. Fans of the show are sure to love this one, as it both looks and feels like the television equivalent. The potential for heartbreak or elation is ever-present, particularly when you get through to the jackpot bonus game, when you’ll have to weigh up the banker’s offers. Proceed with caution, heed the odds and you might just beat the banker. Good luck!
