Winning rounds come from landing three or more matching symbols across a payline. The smaller payouts are yours when the blue, green, or red gloves are seen. Five manga-style fighters return the top prizes, and you will notice that each of them is also shown to the right side of the reels. We’ll tell you why there are pictures of each fighter in a minute.
A guy in blue returns 10, 25, or 200x the amount wagered per line when he’s on three, four, or all five reels, while the woman in a highly impractical top is worth up to 500x. The muscle-bound green fighter pays out a high limit of 750x your line bet, with the boxer in red paying up to 1,000x. The best symbol to land is the wise old master, who is worth 25x, 200x and 2,500x the line stake when landing on three, four, or five reels across a payline.
A fighter with his arms in the air acts as a wild symbol. He isn’t worth anything on his own, but he helps out by substituting for all symbols except the scatter.
Whenever you land a winning combination, a Collapsing Reels feature is triggered. The winning symbols explode and new ones drop down into the empty spaces. If this creates a new winning line, another Collapse occurs, and this goes on until no new combinations are seen.
This format has been seen on a number of slot machines, but Playtech has given it a unique twist. If the winning combination is made up of symbols representing any fighter, a fun animation plays out as they are knocked out of the competition and their symbol is removed from the reels. Their symbol to the side of the reels is then crossed off, and you can clearly see who is left in the competition.
The effect of this is that in any subsequent Collapse, there are fewer fighters on the reels – meaning there’s a better chance of each making up a winning combination. It’s a really clever idea from Playtech, and one that can lead to several high-paying combinations coming from a single stake.
If all five fighters end up being removed in a run of Collapses, the Championship Bonus is triggered. Here you get to pick from a series of coins to win a cash award of up to 40x the total bet.
The scatter symbol is a championship belt which triggers your choice of free spins when it’s seen in any three, four, or five places at once. Pick from the Red or Blue bonus spins, each of which enhances the odds of winning in different ways.
The Red games consist of 12, 25, or 50 free spins, depending on how many scatters triggered them. During these spins, when Collapsing Reels occur, any series of consecutive wins will be boosted by rising multipliers. The first win in a sequence Collapses in these high volatility spins will be at 2x the base rate, and will then rise to 3x, 5x, and finally a high limit of 10x.
You can choose 10, 21, or 40 Blue games when three, four, or five scatter symbols appear. In this round you will see a different set of symbols, with wins more likely to occur during this medium-volatility feature. Both sets of free spins can be retriggered by more scatter symbols, with no upper limit as to how many times this can happen.
The command buttons below the reels are designed in a metal effect that makes them look like they are part of the surrounding cage. They look great, plus they’re easy to use for novices and heavyweight players alike. You just need to adjust wagers from a low limit of 0.20 per spin to the maximum of 500.00, with other options including an Autoplay function and a Turbo mode.
The official Ultimate Fighting Championship video slot comes from Endemol Games, and it is another five-reel, 20-line machine. Before you play, pick a fighter who will then become a wild symbol, paying out the best prizes of up to 1,000x your line stake when he lands across the game. Unique features include the Training Bonus: here the stats of your chosen fighter are compared to an opponent, and different numbers of free spins are awarded depending on how they measure up.
In the Fight Night feature, an animated bout plays on the screen, with attacks on the opponent earning you coin wins. Keep going until your energy meter runs out, or until you win the fight and collect an extra bonus.
With slick animations, a soundtrack that brings the excitement of MMA to your mobile device or computer, plus those thrilling bonus features, Eliminators floors the competition. Check it out at our recommended Playtech real money casinos, where the range of slot machines and great promotional offers will ensure that you get the most out of each slot-playing session.
