It wouldn't surprise us if you haven't come across Igrosoft before, because it isn't exactly one of the global powerhouses in the contemporary games making industry. However, this developer is fairly well-known and well respected among the gambling circles of Russia and its neighbouring countries. The company is probably best known for its popular slot, Crazy Monkey – which is a Donkey Kong style novelty game with elements of slapstick humour and some simple bonus prizes. That particular slot machine sets the tone for a varied, albeit small, collection of comically inclined character based games which appeal to spinners with a light-hearted sense of humour.
There are currently over a dozen different Igrosoft slot machines available to play online. Plus, many of these games are calibrated to work on mobile platforms powered by iOS and casinos compatible with the Android operating system. So, you will never be too far away from some wacky novelty spins, no matter where you go.
This Russian software developer is based and registered for business in Moscow, and it has been an active player in the gaming market for 17 years and counting. However, this history and experience is somewhat invalidated by any significant growth pattern. For example, the company lists some 20 games on its website, which weighs in at scarcely over 1 game per year in the business. So, it's safe to say that Igrosoft doesn't have the most impressive of outputs in terms of quantity compared to younger companies who fire out their slot machines on a much quicker basis.
The company also doesn't appear to do itself any favours with its website, which looks like it hasn't been redesigned since the company was launched 17 years ago. The website's “News” page also hasn't been updated in over 3 years since 2012, with the last news item reporting a legal style notice that the company has cancelled contracts with a number of employees. In fact, the last game released by Igrosoft on their homepage was Crazy Monkey 2, which was in 2010. This hardly inspires confidence that business is booming at the present time.
Perhaps you could try games from bigger and more proactive developers and play Microgaming slots, or Barcrest slots online.

As well as designing the games and making them a reality, Igrosoft also offers a number of other services to ensure that everything runs smoothly for their clients who decide to host their slot machine games. For instance, the company will program the games to efficiently work on a number of playing platforms and they will also carry out repairs to keep everything spinning in order. The company will also carry out any necessary licensing arrangements to make sure that everything is fair and to play at safe online casino sites.
Now that you know a little bit about the context of this software company, it's high time that we talked about what slot machines it has to offer. Even though Igrosoft don't serve up the biggest of catalogues when it comes down to it, you can be sure to find a lot of variation when it comes to themes and styles. In fact, Igrosoft are perhaps most well-known for their range of wacky, cartoon styled game themes which are centred around weird and wonderful characters.
Let's start with the most popular of all – Crazy Monkey. This game is a smash hit in the Russian betting market and it delivers plenty of comical and novelty action with its mischievous monkey protagonist at the helm. The 5-reel slot also boasts a cheeky little bonus game which draws out some slapstick humour as players watch the silly ape pull down strings to reveal either a tasty bunch of bananas or a not so tasty anvil.
If that's the kind of humour that tickles your fancy, then you will be glad to hear that there are some more novelty animal based spins available with Sweet Life and Sweet Life 2 – both of which follow the exploits of a lazy honey loving bear who has to search for some sweet nectar by opening up a series of bee-hives in the bonus game. Again, you can only imagine that this isn't going to end well for our animal hero.
A similar bonus format is followed in the game simply titled “Gnome”. This time, instead of pulling down ropes or sticking his hand into a hive of honey bees, this mining gnome character has to search in mine carts, hoping not to get a heap of mud piled on top of him. This slot machine does differ slightly from the others already mentioned because it does incorporate some 3D computer animated visual whereas the other games are predominantly designed with 2D cartoon illustrations.
Animals and garden gnomes aren't the only characters in the Igrosoft roster, because there are a number of human characters too – all of which offer some comical action in their own special way. There are comically tragic characters such as the drunkards of the Lucky Haunter slot machine and Lucky Drink, while other characters are just downright ridiculous such as the buccaneering, cutlass wielding seadog of the Pirate slot machine. Players will also come across a mechanic in Junky Box, a shipwrecked survivor in Island, and haphazard spy in Resident.
All of these games tend to follow very similar gameplay patterns. Each of these 5-reel slots has 9 paylines, a very similar “pick'em” style bonus game, and substituting wild cards. Unfortunately these games don't come with many free spin features which may well deter some players who like to rack up the wins from wager-less spins. However, players will be interested to hear that these games tend to accept payline wins going in both directions. So, you will be able to line up wins going from right to left as well as from left to right as is standard.
While the main focus of this software provider is on novelty 5-reel video slots, they do supply a couple of games with a classic charm. For instance, retro spinners can enjoy the simple pleasures of the 3-reel slot machine called Roll Fruit. Alternatively, there are some vintage style spins available in 5-reel format with Fruit Cocktail.
Slot machines aren't the only order of business at Igrosoft software, because the company also dabbles in a few other casino style games and arcade games. First of all, there is the “multi-game” called Multi Fish. This packs 4 different games into one, including a standard Igrosoft slot machine with a fishy theme, and three different video poker themes: Bingo Poker, Win Poker and Double Poker.
On top of that, there are three original arcade style games to check out. Admittedly, these aren't the most advanced or mind blowing of games, but they at least offer something a little bit different to your usual slots whilst also bringing in certain elements of skill. In Ant War, for example, players have to fend off attacking beetles to protect their juicy strawberries. Death Road, on the other hand, is a high-octane arcade racing game which allows players to ram their opponents of the road and upgrade their cars with bigger and better weapons. Then there is Paratroopers, a retro style game in which the players control a cannon with an objective of shooting down invading enemy aircraft and paratrooper soldiers.
Igrosoft isn't exactly at the cutting edge of games design, but this Russian company still provides plenty of enjoyable gambling action thanks to a variety of comedy based slot machines. The graphics aren't anything special, and these games do tend to follow exactly the same gameplay patters with five reels, 9 paylines and a generic bonus game. But then again, why fix something if it isn't broke? Because, in truth, this software supplier delivers some of the most popular games in the Russian casino market – so they must be doing something right.
