All winning symbols vanish from the reels of the Medusa Dark Ages slot. Those remaining in view cascade down to fill the gaps and new symbols appear from the top, which can lead to new wins and another cascade. This feature runs without limit until there are no further wins.

Multiplier symbols are how it’s possible to win up to 15,000x the bet from a single paid game. They can land at any time and remain in view over any series of cascades. Once there’s a non-winning spin, the final win gets multiplied by the combined value of all multiplier symbols.

These colorful, winged symbols come in four versions. Blue multipliers hold 2x, 3x, or 4x values, with green examples worth 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, or 9x. The Medusa Blast modifier picks from two to four symbols and removes all examples from the reels to trigger another cascade. The haunting image of Medusa in a mirror is a Converter symbol that swaps from two to four symbol types with others, and the shrieking, red-eyed character is a Medusa Multiplier who replaces all examples of one symbol type with random multipliers.

I found that if several of these are in view, the Blast, Converter, and Multiplier features play out in that order.

If there’s one thing I didn’t like about the Medusa Dark Ages slot machine is that a Super version of the free games, triggered by at least one golden temple on the triggering spin, comes with ever-increasing multipliers. Many games with similar features offer persistent multipliers on all free games rounds, and the Super version is hard to trigger.
