Plenty of Elements to Take In

It only takes a second to realise that Wild West looks and feels quite different from most other video slot games that are currently on the market.

The game screen is indeed filled to the brim with multiple reel sets – four in total – a prominent command bar at the bottom and overall very little space for anything else. The reel sets are framed in a wooden casing that resembles a saloon’s façade, complete with a bull’s skull hanging at the top.

A traditional Western musical theme plays throughout the game to complete the picture. Overall, Wild West is a strikingly different game that stands out from the crowd, not necessarily in terms of design quality but by the way the game screen is organised. Let’s see how to make sense of the gameplay in the next section.

There is a New Sheriff in Town

Wild West remains a video slot game, and as such your goal is still to line up specific combinations of symbols on paylines to win a corresponding cash prize.

As mentioned previously, the game spans on four reel sets. Each set contains five reels of three symbols each, with 10 fixed paylines on each, separate reel set. Use the commands below the reels in order to adjust your wager. Remember that a higher bet means a higher level of risk, and also bigger potential rewards on the following spins. Try the Bet Max button to go all-in at once and maximise your bet settings instantaneously. After each win, you can play an optional guessing game that will either double your reward or make it disappear altogether. Find out the colour of a hidden card in order to multiply your gold stash over and over again.

For an uninterrupted betting experience, switch the Autoplay mode on. The game will be put on autopilot and the reels will spin on their own for as long as you let them, adding up your wins automatically. All four reel sets are activated at every turn, regardless of which game mode you are in, and combinations appearing anywhere on those sets will pay according to the paytable.

Classic Paytable from the Far West

Wild West is characterised by a strong and original approach to slot gaming when it comes to the gameplay and the Bonus features, as we will see.

This complete reshuffling of the card is, however, rather absent when it comes to the reel symbols. The menu starts indeed with card symbols ranging from number 10 to the Ace as the most frequent icons of the game, triggering low payouts.

The most interesting symbols introduce various Cowboys, a pair or Revolvers, the Sheriff’s Star and the Sheriff himself as the most valuable symbol of all. Nothing really new or original here, but things are about to change really fast.

Special Features and Game Modes

Let’s begin with a classic: the Wild card. The Wild West silver insignia is the joker of the game, able to replace any basic symbol wherever it appears. Wilds appearing in the main reel set are transferred to the other three in the same position, in order to increase your chances to score extra combinations all over the screen.

The Gunshot Bonus can be triggered randomly after every win. A single gunshot aimed at one of the four Sheriff’s Stars placed next to the reels awards a Multiplier between x2 and x10.

Lastly, you can try out the Power Spins to enhance your future payouts. Choose that option in the command bar to start three consecutive spins where Wilds remained locked in position until the end. You can pick between Silver and Gold mode depending on the level of risk you are willing to take.

Go West

Wild West blends a classic Far West and Cowboys theme with an innovative gameplay that offers plenty of ways to customise your every move.

This game offers thus a good challenge for players willing to step out of their comfort zone and try their luck in new settings. The potential wins in the Power Spins are worth a try.
