If there’s one thing you expect from a tv quiz show, it’s a brightly coloured snazzy looking set, and Showcase does not disappoint. A combination of bright blues, pinks and yellows this is every inch the classic quiz show set captured in the design.

The other thing you’d anticipate is a grey haired chap in a suit, playing the role of presenter and quiz master. Again, Showcase doesn’t disappoint with a fellow in a blue suit, holding a microphone. The symbols here are our presenter, quiz show contestants, the regular symbols and a suitcase, a car and a house which represent typical major quiz show prizes. You can tell this is a Saturday night prime time quiz show, not a daytime budget one! This is classic quiz show territory.

We are a little confused by the music, which sounds more like something from a children’s TV show, but otherwise decent execution of the quiz show theme.

This is a 5 reel, 20 payline game, with a minimum line bet of 0.01 and a maximum of 12.00, or 240.00 if using all the paylines. The maximum prize here is 5000 coins and you could also be in with the chance of winning the linked progressive jackpot. The Wild symbol here is one of the contestants you can choose to play with, Tim, who offers a 2x multiplier and the Scatter is Carol, the other contestant.

When opening the game you’re asked to select which contestant to play with, but don’t worry this doesn’t have any bearing on the game or the prizes. The Tim Wild symbol is also the one which can award the top prize when landed on all 5 reels. Three of the Carol Scatter symbols will award players with 15 free spins when landed anywhere on the reels and the spins will each be given a 3x multiplier on payouts.
