Fruit-Filled Base Games

The five main reels at the bottom of the game are crossed by five paylines. You need three, four, or five of the same symbol anywhere across a line to win a prize, with classic images such as cherries, lemons and oranges paying one, two, or five times the total stake. Plums and grapes each pay out two, three, or ten times your bet when seen on three, four, or all five reels of a payline respectively.

The watermelon and golden bell are each worth three, five, or 20 times your bet level. A red number seven pays up to 25 times, and the top awards in normal spins are claimed when the Deal or No Deal logo appears. Collect five, ten, or 50 times your stake when it stops on three, four, or all five reels across a line.

Bonus Board

Some of the symbols can have numbers overlaid on them, and these are the triggers to start lighting up a bonus trail. Right above the reels, you will see a bonus trail with the numbers one to eight running across it. If the numbers on symbols add up to at least four, you will see the board in the central part of the game screen light up, with the light flashing around it until it comes to rest on a position. Whatever award is in that place is then collected. You could get a guaranteed Win Spin, cash prize, or win multiplier, or you may simply see more of the bonus trail light up.

If all eight places on the trail are lit, the Super Board at the top of the game is activated. Here, you will find extra features such as Powerplay spins, which set the reels off until you get a winner; an Easy Money gamble round; and the Box Magic round, where you pick a red box for a cash prize.

The cash ladder to the right side of the game has rising values from bottom to top, and it is climbed in a range of ways. In the Cash Combo feature, the values on the ladder dapple until you click to stop them. You can then choose to repeat it for the chance of a higher prize or collect your win. The Star Prize shows three blue boxes, which you pick from to move up the cash ladder. Meanwhile, the Bank on It feature highlights just the top seven steps on the ladder, with a click required to stop the dapple.

Deal or No Deal Feature

Fans of the TV game show will recognize the telephone that’s seen on both the middle and top parts of the game. If you collect any three phones while traveling around the board, you can choose to play the basic Deal or No Deal game, or carry on and try for the Super or Mega rounds. In these top rounds, you have a better chance of claiming higher prizes when the Banker calls.

Betting Options

Choose your stake per spin from just seven options, ranging from 0.10 to 10.00. It’s a very simple way to place wagers, although it’s unlikely to appeal to high rollers looking for massive rewards. A top prize of 10,000x the stake is fairly substantial, though, and even those playing with smaller bets can claim big prizes.

An autoplay function is almost as easy to activate. Select how many spins you want to play out, to a high limit of 100. Then decide on the win or loss levels you want them to stop on if they are reached before the end.

Other Special Deals

This is one of a number of online slot machines based around game shows, and there are even a few themed directly on the Deal or No Deal program. Many come from Endemol Games, which is part of the media company behind the TV show. Deal or No Deal: Dream Factory is an example, and when you spin the five reels you’ll see red boxes, a phone, and even the famous Noel Edmunds himself. A number of bonus rounds are available, including the Super Deal, where you open red boxes until the Banker makes an offer. There’s up to 2,500x the stake to collect in this exciting feature.

For something a little different, try the Slingo Deal or No Deal game. It’s a fusion of 75-ball bingo and a slot machine which plays out on a 5x5 grid covered in red boxes. You spin a set of reels to spin up numbers that match the boxes, moving up a prize ladder with each match. Wild Jokers, Super Jokers and Devil symbols are there to help or hinder you in a fun game which can see wins multiplied by up to 20x.

A Great Deal?

Although the base reels contain standard symbols of cherries, oranges and so on, this is much, much more than the average fruit machine. Few games have so many extra features, and while you won’t experience them all in the average gaming session, the potential rewards can be huge. We like the element of skill and judgment that comes with some of the bonuses, such as choosing whether to collect a prize or try for a higher reward, or timing a click to claim the top prizes.

It’s a game that you can try out for free, or just take the phone off the hook, relax and play for real cash. The high average returns have been declared at 96.57%, and the Deal or No Deal: The Perfect Play video slot is fully licensed for fairness by the UK Gambling Commission. Ready to strike a deal?
