The Rally slot has a somewhat standard five reel setup, this one featuring 25 win lines. The number of win lines can be modified, so you’ll choose whether to play any number between 1 and 25 (the default setting is the maximum 25).

The wild symbol in the game has the word ‘Rally’ across it and will substitute for any other symbol in the game apart from the scatter symbols to give extra wins. This is also the most profitable symbol in the game as you’ll win 5,000x the coin amount if landing 5 in a row (all wins are paid by landing consecutive symbols from left to right on a win line). The rally driver pays 500x for 5 in a row and the truck and the tools wins you 250x. The symbols are completed by the playing card symbols from 9 to Ace.

The slot has two scatter symbols. The first is the trophy symbol and landing this 3, 4 or 5 times across the reels will see you simply win a cash prize of 5, 50 or 150x your coin amount respectively. The bonus symbol is the one you’ll really want to hit, as landing this on reels 1, 3 and 5 will take you to the rally bonus round.

Upon entering the feature round you’ll be met by a terrain map where you’ll decide your route from one checkpoint to another by clicking on various flags along the way. Every time you reach a flag and the eventual checkpoint you’ll win a cash prize, but between flags you may encounter various events which might damage the car. These include spinning the car or hitting a cow which will cause 25% of damage and strong winds which will cause 10% of damage. When the damage meter reaches 100% the feature is over, however at the end of each stage you can use a repair kit, each one giving you 5% of repairs. At the end of the feature, the slot will remember where you left off, so when you return you’ll start at the same stage you left last time.

Leander are known for their original and unique slots and although perhaps not the best slot in their range, this slot is worth playing simply for the feature. This is a feature which you can get involved in, as you plot your route through the stages and it certainly gets interesting when there is much damage to your car, knowing that each cash prize could be your last.

This slot will appeal to many players although once the feature has been played, there’s not too much variety in the slot (unusually there is no free spins round for example) which might mean that the interest level drops quite quickly afterwards.

Overall this is a good effort by Leander and a better than average slot, but it won’t make too many highlight reels.
