Get the Ball Rolling

As in other versions of the game, Live Keno asks players to pick between one and 10 numbers in the range of 1-80. Twenty balls will then be drawn at random from that same range; if players can match enough of their chosen spots, then they’ll win a prize. In the case of this particular title, all of this happens on a scheduled basis: you’ll have two minutes to make you bets for the next round, after which a two-minute playing period occurs, during which results are determined and you can relax before preparing for the following drawing.

As is the custom for InBet games, the interface here is clean and well-organized. The numbers from 1-80 are organized on the left side of the screen; during the betting period, you can see the amount being wagered on each spot listed below the numbers themselves, giving you an idea of what your fellow players are doing. On the right, you’ll see a history of recent drawings, as well as a list of the bets you’ve chosen to make for the current round. Several betting options (including an option to have your spots chosen randomly for you) are listed at the bottom of the screen, and the chosen balls will appear at the top, where you’ll also see the countdown for the upcoming round.

Players can make as many bets as they like in each round. Simply pick some spots you’d like to bet on, then hit the done button to lock in that selection. If you’d like, you can then repeat that process as many times as you like.

Prizes of All Sizes

If you’re not familiar with how keno works, we’re happy to give you a primer. As we mentioned, this is a drawing game, one that is very similar to lotteries you’ve probably played before. The main difference is that you have control over what kind of lottery you’re playing with each bet. You can play a very simple version where you pick a single number and hope to match it, or you can choose up to 10 spots, hoping to hit as many as possible in search for a jackpot.

Because of all the different ways to play, the pay table for this game can get rather complicated. Not only does the number of spots you need to hit change with how many you’ve picked, but the payouts vary tremendously as well, further complicating matters.

For instance, if you’ve only chosen single number to hit, it will have to come up in the drawing for you to win. If it does, you’ll earn three units. Keep in mind that in this game, like a slot machine or video poker, your initial stake is considered lost when you make the bet; that means these payouts are “for one” rather than “to one,” as in many table games.

Picking more numbers opens up a lot more options. For instance, this is what the pay table looks like when you choose five numbers:

If you play seven or more spots, you can even get a small consolation prize should you happen to make zero matches, as this is a pretty unlikely result as well. The maximum payout is 10,000 times your wager: that happens if you manage to match 10 of 10 spots.

A Live Jackpot Experience

Live Keno may not be the most exciting title that InBet has ever released, but it’s still a popular way to play this classic casino favorite. Adding in a live, timed element to gameplay brings back the feel that this game has in brick-and-mortar establishments: namely, one of a pastime that can be enjoyed while you relax and do something else. There’s no need to constantly be paying attention to what’s going on; as long as you can check in on the results every few minutes, you’ll be able to keep up with the action. If you’re looking for something this hands-off, or you’re a longtime fan of keno, we think you’ll enjoy this live version.
