Dinosaurs brings out childlike curiosity inside of us, which probably why Jurassic Park and the like have been so successful. Hoping to cash in on that passion is Dino Island, a 5-reels slot machine that has a mouthful of teeth.

The one component we most respect about this real cash slot is that the brand has attempted to be as original as possible. There’s obvious links between it and the franchise mentioned above, but essentially this is their own piece of creativity. Dinosaurs pop up everywhere, in various styles; the aesthetic here is moody and atmospheric, like the beasts themselves. Or at least how we imagine them to have been.

You don’t have to be well versed in history, or even a believer of evolution in general, to know how dinosaurs became extinct. It’s an enormous and aggressive (factual) story that dramatically shaped the world that we see today. Such force is what RTG have tried to capture in the features of their slot machine.

An Eruption

Dinosaur themed online slots aren’t as common as you might think, as dragons tend to outshine due to our love of fantasy. Due to this we’ve tried to find a happy medium for you, and in turn we’ve stumbled upon Volcano Eruption. This is a slot machine that has a 3x4 grid setup, from the makers over at NextGen Gaming. As you can tell, there’s not much (so far) that separates the two titles from one another.

The game is stunning in its appearance, and it offers an exotic style that is liken to what you see in Dino Island. There’s less teeth, but we knew this would happen because of how rare a beast dinosaurs now are. Volcano Eruption has a great range of features, just as interactive as what you experience from RTG, and so you’ll feel right at home. The only real difference is in the betting range, with RTG seemingly the more accessible at between 0.25 and 125 coins. Just in case you’re curious, this is the same amount that they use across all of their slot machines.

Island of Wonder

Dino island is much of the same from RTG, and so while we enjoyed it, we can’t say that we’re raving about it; it’s just so like their others. The brand hardly ever injects much needed variance, and so you always get the same game but with a different aesthetic. That’ll work well for some of you and not all of you, which is probably why they aren’t the leading game provider. If you need more substance and contrasts, you need to try brands like Microgaming.
