If you can’t figure out how to play Bankroll Reload 1 Line, playing slot machines is clearly not the pastime for you. The slot is so simple that both the gameboard and the payout table can be condensed onto one screen, and – as the name suggest – you only have one line to keep an eye on.
Given its incredibly stripped-down nature, the only thing players need concern themselves with are the two buttons marked “bet” and “coins”. Your bet size can be anywhere between $0.01 and $5.00, and this is then multiplied by a coin size of one, two or three, making the total amount $0.01-$15.00.
Payouts in Bankroll Reload 1 Line are only awarded for symbols that fall on the middle payline, with any roll of $10 bills at least returning your stake. The maximum jackpot, meanwhile, is reserved for matching three golden sevens, and this awards players a massive 6,000 coins at the maximum bet.
When we mentioned earlier that Bankroll Reload 1 Line features just six symbols, we were being kind – while technically true, this doesn’t take into account that the BAR logo features in single, double and triple versions to help boost the numbers a bit.
Nevertheless, the graphics – though very minimal – are at least clear and the symbols are well-drawn, but the layout of the three reels themselves can cause a major issue. Looking at them, you’d think the 3 reels feature just 2 rows apiece, whereas the reality is they have 3 that are squeezed in.
While this is OK for standout symbols like the lucky sevens, money rolls and golden stars, try getting a triple bar on the top or bottom row and not mistakenly thinking it’s a single bar in the middle row – the gameboard is simply too small for players to properly differentiate one row from the others.
Sound-wise, Bankroll Reload 1 Line continues to live up to its retro/minimalist theme with the same reel-spinning sound you’d find on a bricks and mortar machine and a few effects for winning lines.
Although Bankroll Reload 1 Line does technically feature a wild symbol, the nature of this version of the game renders its impact almost entirely negligible. According to the payout table, the golden seven icon is wild and substitutes for all symbols, but given you’re only ever going to be using the middle payline, it will very rarely stop where you need it and not win you much even if it does.
Naturally, if more than one payline could be activated, a wild feature might have more bearing, but in the 1 line game it’s almost inconsequential. This problem is further exacerbated when you consider that the golden seven is also Bankroll Reload 1 Line’s jackpot symbol, and if players struggle to get one of these rare icons stopping on the middle line, what hope do they have for all three?
We tried to approach Bankroll Reload 1 Line with an open mind – we really did – but honestly, if you’re playing this game regularly you’re missing out on a whole world of modern titles that do everything it can and so much more. While we appreciate that simplicity is sometimes attractive, no one ever made a fortune playing a 1 line slot machine, so if you’re adamant about having a spin on Bankroll Reload, do yourself a favour and at least play the 3 or 5 line version to boost your odds.
