    Atlantis Slot Machine

The appeal of a hidden underwater civilisation isn’t lost on us - we long for adventure and the unknown, and the idea that waters can hide that much is an exciting concept. This is probably why slot developers, like InBet Games, have created titles such as Atlantis. Inside the reels of this real cash slot, you’ll dive into the icy blue waters and discover a sunken world filled with cash.

Those familiar with the brand, and who have played Age of Knights before, will note the similarity in the style of design. There’s a crudeness to the graphics. They’re like drawings that have come to life, the odd animation keeping them tangible. Just as before, we find this somewhat beguiling, adding a uniqueness to this slot that isn’t often seen inside other titles. As for variance, you can expect a medium range here, with gamble options and extra spins being your only hope of special features.

    Choppy Waters Ahead

Before we get into what symbol does what and the amount of cash you can hope to win, we want to talk about the volatility of this game, for it’s rather high. It’s said to be low to medium, but we’d say it’s more on the medium to high side, or at least that’s what we experienced when we played. We got wins, but it took awhile for them to come round again, which means that we spent more money than what we earned back.

At this point we’d then refer to the RTP, to demonstrate the type of payback you can expect, but it would seem that InBet is keeping that one close to their chests. To some this won’t matter at all, for it’s better to go in blind than to know every trick, but to others it’ll mean gambling without knowing the true risks. What we suggest, in an attempt to try and combat this, is to play the demo version first, that way you can get used to the dynamics of the gameplay.

    Crumbling Ruins in the Sand

The broken worn pillar of the paytable is the scatter icon, bringing with it a series of free games. As we’ve already hinted at, if you’ve played Age of Knights, then you’ll know what to expect: 15 games with a x3 multiplier on top. Even though we can appreciate that not every game is made equal, or individual, we dislike seeing such a blatant copy of the same format and design. Only the content of theme is different between the two InBet Games, and so regular players will become bored much quicker.

Nevertheless, if you’re aiming to play every feature then you’ll need to get at least three of the symbols we’ve just mentioned. Once that happens on one of the 9 winlines, you’ll play through the cost free rounds until the end. You might retrigger the rounds if you’re lucky, thus prolonging the whole experience, but we were never that lucky. Fortune never seems to favour us, something you may be aware of if you follow our reviews.

    Turning the Air Blue

As we move onto other titles, we could introduce you to yet more of the brand’s games, most of which follow the same format found here, but where would the fun be in that? After paying between 9 and 900 credits for the 100th time, you begin to long for different waters, those that are seen in Magnet Gaming’s Deep Blue. This modern looking 3-reels slot is something a bit different from Atlantis, helping to avoid any contempt due to too much familiarity of themes.

What is more, inside the paylines of this slot machine you’ll find many bonus features, something that Atlantis lacks. You’ll be able to try your hand at searching via sonar or go hunting for sunken ships, and if that doesn’t whet your appetite, you can go looking for treasure thanks to the maps you have to hand. It’s a very thorough yet compact title, and one that we highly recommend as an alternative.

    A New Age

This could be the slot machine that introduces you to InBet Games, a new age as it were, but for others it’ll be yet more of the same from a brand that doesn’t seem to change up its tactics all that often. No matter which side of the fence you fall upon, there’s no denying that this title is a well thought out one. It’s a game that has just enough variety to keep us playing, but not quite enough to have us playing indefinitely.
