The graphics for Fast Cash are simple as you like and almost look pixelated when you view the racecars up close. It turns out it’s just a black grid effect that’s been overlaid, causing each formula one car to look a little pixelated. If you’ve ever played the Micro Machines computer game, which was released on the Commodore Amiga in the mid 90s, you’ll have an idea of what the cars in this game are like. You have a choice of no less than six cars, including a red, purple and orange model. These are complemented by a maroon, green and blue and silver car.
Select your car and then with a squeal of tires and the roar of a highly tuned engine, you’ll be taken to a second screen where you’re tasked with choosing your track. There are three different circuits to choose from. Different shapes of track but same end result. After you’ve played the game a few times however you may come to find that you prefer a certain track. Once you’ve picked a track, you’ll be taken through to the game proper and now you can finally get a feel for what Fast Cash is all about and eye the sort of sums that are to be won.
When you check out the paytable positioned at the top of the board, you’ll discover that you’re able to win some serious sums from this game – 60,000 coins in fact. As for how it works, when you start the race there’s a roar of engines and the cars take off around the track as you follow their progress. When you reach the first corner, the race will freeze for a moment while you make a decision, one that will dictate your fate. Do you, for example, choose to overtake the red or the purple opponent? It’s a big call to make, as it will determine your success or failure.
There are other opportunities you’ll encounter as the race proceeds, with the aim of the game being to finish in the top three and to lead at the end of each lap ideally. As the cars jostle and rivals catch up, the tension is surprisingly high. It almost feels like you’re playing a racing video game rather than simply watching proceedings and making the occasional decision when prompted. You’ll be prompted to change gear at one point for example, and your decision will determine where you finish.
Fast Cash is an excellent casino game that properly recreates the thrills of an old school arcade racer. This is a game that you could happily play for fun, simply for the excitement that comes from trying to choose right and ease your car ahead of the chasing pack. When you do play for real money, this mobile-compatible game will step things up to the next level, opening the door to big money wins and even more tension.
