Bingo Hollywood, although not the most original concept for a bingo site, is one that should give plenty of opportunity for rich imagery and colourful metaphors. After all, who isn't enamored with the lifestyle of A-list celebs and their crazy celebrity pads on Mulholland Drive and all those other streets that are so famous to us, having been raised on a diet of big budget movies?

Bingo Hollywood certainly attempts to shoehorn in some of that imagery, including a homepage replete with photos and graphics including the city of LA lit up at dusk with a sprinkle of urban lights, the sun sinking below the horizon behind the skyscrapers and palm trees standing defiantly on the beach full. At the top of the screen a length of film roll, the sort that used to be used in the golden age of cinema, further augments the theme. There are also statues of the Oscars included elsewhere which adds to the sense of Hollywood excess.

While the theme and concept behind Bingo Hollywood is easy to grasp, it hasn't been put together very well. In fact, this is an awful looking site, one that appears badly dated and whose elements jar and clash. Nevertheless, the site seems to have some measure of success on Facebook at least, where it has a reasonable number of followers and is updated regularly. On Twitter it isn't faring quite so well for it has scarcely more than a dozen followers despite having been in the game for more than a year.

Cassava Enterprises Limited are based in Gibraltar and licensed by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. There is also a company called 888 UK Limited who are licensed and regulated by the Great Britain Gambling Commission and actually own Cassava Enterprises Ltd. Finally there's a company named Virtual Digital Services Limited who are licensed to offer Bingo Hollywood’s services to players operating within the European Union.

Some Explosive Bonuses

When it comes to promotions, Bingo Hollywood has at least made an attempt to tie these in with the theme of the site. For example there is a £10,000 jackpot game that is accompanied by images of the famous Hollywood sign with fireworks exploding around it. The value of this jackpot depends on how quickly you can achieve bingo. If you complete your card in less than 32 calls you will win the full amount whereas if it happens in 55 calls or more you'll take just £1,000.

Bingo Hollywood is a pretty useless site in many senses, not least when it comes to the FAQ. In response to the question “What deposit methods do you accept?” the answer is “We accept most payment methods including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Paysafecard”. Aside from the fact that this FAQ is littered with typos, there is also the fact that the site clearly doesn't accept most payment methods; it accepts a small selection of payment methods at best which, judging by the icons displayed in the footer include Entropay, PayPal and possibly bank transfer.

When it comes to withdrawals, you can presumably use credit or debit card as well as cheque, Neteller and PayPal. This is certainly the case that other Cassava Enterprises sites. Why they can't simply clarify this information on all of their bingo sites for the benefit of potential players is a mystery that will likely never be resolved. The minimum withdrawal amount is £35 and it can apparently take up to 8 working days for funds to appear in your account.

Blanks Before the Bingo

Hover over the squashed thumbnail images and you will see such names as 88 Fortunes, Aladdin's Legacy, Asteroids, Bars and Bells and Baccarat. Games have been sorted into categories so you can choose between slots and casino games as well as jackpot games. There is a small selection of casino games including French Roulette, European Roulette, live blackjack, live roulette, baccarat and a few others.

Hollywood Style Ending

The actual range of games to be played at Bingo Hollywood and the quantity of bonus cash to be claimed is surprisingly good for a Cassava Enterprises site. It's just a shame that the whole site isn't mobile-friendly and looks in many places atrocious or poor at best. It’s good to see the Hollywood theme maintained consistently throughout the site including applying elements of this concept to the names of the bingo games themselves.

With a better design, Bingo Hollywood could be a pretty good place to play at. Instead it is a site that isn't likely to appeal unless you're a desktop user.
