Special Symbols

There’s one small tile that does several different things and that is the Wild Arrow X button, arguably the creme de la creme of the title. Then there’s the respin tile to get your hands on in addition to the standard icons of the grid. Seeing as Bonus Arrow has quite a few features for us to look at, let’s begin with the premium symbols and then work backwards. Start with the best.

The Wild X will initially sub and move as many icons as possible that land on the grid, provided they aren’t related to another special feature of some kind. However, when another of these tiles is added into the mix, the rules change.

Instead of swapping symbols about, players now get double their win amount.

What is more, if you find another of the Wild Xs, the wins are then quadrupled, which means you become a hell of a lot wealthier without any other symbol other than the wild.

The only issue we do have with so much going on with one icon, is that it makes the pay table less interesting, which in turns means that the entertainment factor dwindles remarkably fast. Even more so in this instance as you have the X symbol paying out the jackpot amount of 5,000 credits as well, just so long as you’re playing with the full bet of three coins. Diversity is vital to a slot machines shelf life, so when it lacks it you feel it within minutes of playing that game.

In regards to the extra rounds available, they seem to offer out as many as 5 waves, provided you find at least one of the symbols on your active win lines. This seems rather generous considering that in a lot of other slot machines, you usually need three of a kind before you get close to such a reward. Not that we’re complaining, we’re just in shock at how much we’ve managed to uncover without hardly any arduous behavior. Bonus Arrow is definitely a low to medium volatility slot. It goes without saying that if you’ve reduced the amount of active win lines, the chances of you getting the free spins decreases rapidly and the volatility increases.

Dare to Gamble?

Playing around with our funds isn’t something any of us do lightly, but at least with a game like Bonus Arrow you know that you don’t have to front much cash to get a decent turnover; just three coins along each pay line is all it takes. And that’s only if you’re playing with the maximum bet, if you decide you want an even smaller stake, you merely need to reduce the coins down further.

Gamers are free to change the settings of Bonus Arrow as they see fit, but we find we do little else bar investigate the automatic rounds, and even then we don’t always use them. When it comes to games of this size, although they’re not guaranteed to be short lived, employing hands free gaming just feels unnecessary. If you want the full range of options you should press the auto spins button, but you can always simply select between 5 and 10 rounds from upon the widget itself.

Not Much to See

This game may have some specials tucked away, but when we can play the likes of Bonus Diamonds, a title that essentially does the same as this one, there’s no need to play this one. Bonus Arrow becomes redundant.

The only possible benefit that this slot has is that you get a change of scenery whilst you play, but even then the majority of the layout is still the same.
