There are just two controls to be found at the top of the screen. Click on the cog icon and you’ll be presented with a trifecta of options: you can enable spin with space bar, activate turbo spin and select automatic free games entry. There’s also a full screen button.

The remainder of the controls can be found below the reels. Clicking on the blue dollar icon on the bottom left will pull up the pay table. With the bet maxed out at 5,000, each spin will of course cost 50,000. With 20 active pay lines set, the maximum bet you can place is reduced to 2,500, which again results in a maximum bet per spin of 50,000.

There is a way to further increase the maximum bet, however, and that’s by clicking on the fiery button marked MAXI PLAY. This is the feature that lends the game its name, or the latter half of its name at least.

With Maxi Play enabled, your maximum bet will increase by 50%, resulting in a maximum bet per spin of 75,000. With Maxi Play active, there will be more bombs and more doubled wins to collect. The final control of note is an auto play button which is situated over to the right of the screen.

For a game with “Explodiac” in its name, there’s a distinct lack of explosions to be seen. Be patient and they will materialize though. When the bomb symbol, which serves as wild, appears on the reels it will detonate, turning adjacent symbols into wilds too. Activating Maxi Play is the best way to expedite this process.

The bomb symbol will appear on the first 3 reels only. With Maxi Play enabled, the wild symbol that will appear at this juncture is known instead as Bomb MP.

Explodiac Maxi Play also has a feature built in, a simple card gamble. Click on the gamble button where you see the cards symbol and this feature will be activated. At this stage, it’s simply a case of betting on the color of the next card. Every time you call it right, your win will be doubled.

Explodiac Maxi Play is about as simple as a video slot can get. In truth it’s not the most exciting of games to play, but the Maxi Play feature is a nice touch if nothing else.
